Could you make some thermal scope based on the a3ti? infiray rico micro rh25 for example, please:steammocking:
OnePaprika 19 Mar @ 12:45pm
When you aim and lean to one side with the "e" or "q" keys, the sights remain straight. It would also be interesting to be able to switch to 3D mode.
Apricot_ale 8 Dec, 2024 @ 3:02pm
I finally found out this mod wasn't included in SPS Weapons. I didn't know for 5 years.
I always wondered where those sights were.
Nexogamer401 16 Nov, 2024 @ 4:08am
Little suggestion. Perhaps it might be worth the idea to think about compatibility with ITN(Illuminate the Night). I quite like the way it works. Also, the player could still choose, if they want to stick with your system or choose to add ITN. Anyways, awesome mod :).

Great mod, man, but if you wanted to make it even better, it would be nice to add smooth zoom, which I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be grateful for that.

@Gods Drunkest Driver, if you re-upload this to the Steam Workshop, you will get DMCA-ed for doing so. There's a huge amount now that you have to accept when uploading to the workshop which makes it clear the legal implications.
(Fundamentally, you need to own the IP of what you upload.)

There's many better ways to make mod packs for units.
If you're new to this kind of thing, the easiest 2 are:

1. Make a Steam Collection of all the mods you want your group to use.
2. Make an Arma 3 Launcher Preset of the mods you want to use.

The 3rd option in some ways is the nicest but a little harder to set up:
3: make an 'empty' mod (a mod that contains no actual content) where you set all the other required workshop mods for your group as requirements in the workshop page for your empty mod. On loading this empty mod in the A3 launcher, everyone will be prompted to download and add all these mods marked as 'required' to the launcher.

Hey ther Im just wondering if you would be willing to let me use this mod as a local mod for our unit? Theres no money to be made lol, just figured I'd ask?
AndoArgyll 29 Sep, 2024 @ 3:00pm
Hey dude. Would you consider doing versions of the Vudu and SnB 1-8s with a piggybacked RMR or T1?
Dawofnia 27 Jul, 2024 @ 8:34pm
@sigma_Frenchie, using the pad on top of the rifle.. its just now shown in the game. But thats how
Sigma_Frenchie 11 May, 2024 @ 8:00am
that's a genuine question, not criticism
Sigma_Frenchie 11 May, 2024 @ 7:58am
why are the flashlights on the right side? how are you supposed to turn them on/off realistically
Steve  [author] 9 Mar, 2024 @ 11:57am
Erm... you do realise that for most ammunition, a 50m and 200m zero are normally so close to identical that they are considered the same?
The round goes through the 50m zero on the way up, peaks at about 125-150m and starts falling again to pass through the same zero at 200m.
The 50m zero was only put in for use with the heavier .300 blackout rounds out of the very short 9" HK337 barrel where that's no longer true and most targets would be engaged under 100m.
Vokun Vulon 9 Mar, 2024 @ 8:31am
Can we get it so the flip sights change zeroing when you flip them to the side? Ideally from 200m with magnifier to 50m without, save having to take off the magnifier AND change zeroing in ace when you can use the CBA bind to flip the magnifier off to the side instead
Naneek 7 Jun, 2023 @ 8:43pm
Are we able to get a red dot ontop of the shortdot and vudu?
Steve  [author] 2 Feb, 2023 @ 3:02am
Yeah - no worries. Not a 'bug' as such but a side effect (that none of us really want) as a function of the standard game mechanics.
Comm Agzil Mellah 1 Feb, 2023 @ 4:53pm
it mainly comes when doing liberation on the off hours with the unit, where i tend to run a "can do everything" loadout, be it shoot an infantry target 500 out or shoot a mbt.
I can work around it knowing the limit but i figured id point it out in case it was a bug.

thank you for your time and your reply. :VBOY:
Steve  [author] 1 Feb, 2023 @ 11:28am
@Comm Agzil Mellah Yep - that's in built game mechanics.
I have no interest in trying to overwrite that.

Why would anyone requiring a PVS24-LR for long range shooting be carrying a launcher??? ;-)

(Apologies that I can't make mods that suit all game styles...)
Comm Agzil Mellah 1 Feb, 2023 @ 4:33am
i seem to run into an issue with the clip on NV attachment.
Whenever my weight reaches or goes over 44.91kg (99.01LB) i am no longer able to remove it and i get the warning 'not enough space' while the inventories themselves still have enough room available.
currently i have to drop my launcher to lose weight and then ill be able to detach it without issue, but with it on my back i cannot.
Kiwik [A3] 27 Jan, 2023 @ 3:23pm
Just for more precision (I apologize if this seems too much), the STORM doesn't have to be mounted on the optic (I can see how it could be a nightmare to have all the variants when combined with the CONVD), it can replace the An-PEQ/15 or any other laser attachment, basically. An example:
https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/wts-small-tactical-optical-rifle-mounted-storm-micro-laser-rangefinder-mlrf-an-psq-23.7091894/

As stated, it would be amazing to have a laser attachment that can both be used as a visible/IR laser sight, and at the same time as a Laser Rangefinder, ideally connected to the ATragMX.

This might be wishful feedback, but one can dream :3
Kiwik [A3] 27 Jan, 2023 @ 8:11am
Our conversation on the other mod has reminded me to come here and praise this mod too!
As I said, the clip-on NV device is amazing, one of our Sniper team's favorite piece of equipment.
The MSR2 is also one of the best reticles I've had the pleasure to shoot with, the central cross makes for easy and quick holdovers.

If I could only express one crazy wish, it would be amazing if you ever found the time to integrate a Laser Range Finder (LRF) like the STORM LRF into the mod: a lot of SOF units in the world are starting to use these incredible devices.

Even better, if the LRF could be linked with the AtragMX ballistic calculator from ACE (like the Vactor 21 Nite), it would make for an incredible spotting tool. As Spotters being able to use an optic with a mil-reticle is invaluable to guide your shooter to a difficult target, but unfortunately one has to swap to the Vector every time to get a quick firing solution.

Anyway, still love all of your work, so here's to hoping!
Steve  [author] 28 Dec, 2022 @ 6:34am
@CIASAC - unlikely unless PIP gets significantly better.
Now the last update of A3 has made thermal imagery more realistic, I'd say there's a higher chance than previous but it would still be a very long way down my list of things to do.
Sorry!
Operator Nethaneel [CAG] 23 Dec, 2022 @ 5:54am
Will you add thermal Scope clip ons?
Steve  [author] 28 Jul, 2022 @ 12:14pm
@LunchBox
All the variable zoom optics use the standard zoom keys. (I think it's +/- on the num pad)
But it's much more convenient to bind these controls to something like control and mouse wheel.
LunchBox 27 Jul, 2022 @ 9:19pm
is there a way to adjust the zoom of 20mm optics like the Snb 1.1-4x24's?
Steve  [author] 7 Jul, 2022 @ 11:40am
@fiercedrummer117 - probably not, I'm afraid. Limited time available these days. And at some point, I want to start learning how everything works in Reforger so I can get my stiff into A4 when it arrives.
Sorry!
fiercedrummer117 6 Jul, 2022 @ 2:36pm
Easily one of the best set of optics and equipment out there, great work! Any plans for more rugged infantry gear? ACOG, VCOG, M68s etc?
resa 15 Jun, 2022 @ 5:57am
This mod is like my taste in women cause it's all 2D

Steve  [author] 5 Mar, 2022 @ 5:17am
@Exocet - should all be fixed now. (Clumsy inheritance from me in the first implementation.)
There's a key/BiSign update as I seem to have issues with re-packing on the same key at the moment. Not sure why. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Steve  [author] 5 Mar, 2022 @ 4:44am
@Exocet - confirmed and definitely not intended.
Thanks for the report - I'll attempt to fix asap
Exocet 5 Mar, 2022 @ 4:24am
Seems like latest update broke the compatible scopes for vanilla weapons (ex. MAR-10 now only supports SPS's long scopes, doesnt even support vanilla scope). Can you verify? Thanks
R0bDaRipper 27 Feb, 2022 @ 4:22pm
*update - even though the mod was updated i repaired it and the scopes were available
R0bDaRipper 27 Feb, 2022 @ 4:16pm
was wanting to check out the new reticles but my scopes don't seem to have them, is there a secondary scope for 3-27/3-20 scopes or was it a full reticle replacement? My mod has been updated to the best of my knowledge.
Steve  [author] 27 Feb, 2022 @ 2:24pm
OK - that's going to be a limit on the standard inventory system so probably not something that can be fixed.

You do realise the weight has quite a big impact on weapon sway? So launcher plus highly magnified optics isn't really something to be encouraged!!!!
BigLDP 27 Feb, 2022 @ 10:49am
My unit and I have found that as soon as you hit the 97 pound limit no matter how many inv spaces you have (empty vest and shirt) the no more space error triggers. It is compounded we think by launchers which weigh 10-20 lbs themselves. I am willing to provide pictures or anything you would like to prove it! :)
Steve  [author] 27 Feb, 2022 @ 3:13am
@[KoB]BigLDP The 'not enough space' occurs when you try to remove the clip on night vision kit and you don't have enough space in your inventory to store it. It's quite a big/heavy item so you do need quite a lot of inventory space available in one carrier (vest/backpack etc).

I've not found any circumstances when this doesn't work correctly but if you think there's a specific case, let me know the details
BigLDP 26 Feb, 2022 @ 8:39pm
Is there a known fix for the CONVD "not enough space" when I have more than enough? It also does it when I have a launcher sometimes which is weird. Besides that, amazing mod guys!
Steve  [author] 3 Feb, 2022 @ 10:09am
I've just had a quick look - it looks like CBA is already setup for WS.
Any weapon that has a proper rail mount should be able to mount any SPS sight attachement
Ianassa 3 Feb, 2022 @ 10:07am
I see. Thanks for the reply Steve. Was very helpful. Once again, very nice work on the mod :)
Steve  [author] 3 Feb, 2022 @ 9:50am
@Ianassa - whether a scope can be used on a weapon or not is mainly controlled by the weapon itself. So I can't directly influence whether CDLC weapons use my sights through this mod.
For most of the game content so far, CBA sets up the weapons to allow the use of the different scope classes on the weapons.
I'm not sure if anyone has done a CBA add on for the Sahara CDLC yet?
But it's worth scanning the workshop for something along those lines as that should solve the problem for you.
Ianassa 3 Feb, 2022 @ 12:12am
Hey mate. Love these scopes, they are all well configured and look incredible, all in a compact sized mod file size which is a huge plus for me.

I noticed that the scopes are not available for weaponst that came in the Western Sahara CDLC. While it is creator DLC, many 2035 setting fans do consider it being part of the official pack, so I was wondering if you have plans to update the mod configs to also work with the WS weapons?
Steve  [author] 6 Aug, 2021 @ 4:05am
@TonyiCC
If you mean how do you raise and lower the magnifier, it uses CBA key bindings
So go to Options-> Controls -> Addons then find CBA Weapons.
You can bind things to the next or previous optics state.
If I remember correctly, for modifier keys or mouse buttons, you have to drag them from the list on the right of the dialogue box.
So you can set up Ctrl Right Mouse just like vanilla sight range changing if you want.
TonyiCC 6 Aug, 2021 @ 3:47am
How does the ECHOTEC + G33 sight glass work?
Fizz 10 Jun, 2021 @ 1:38am
@steve Is it possible you can put the vortex razor's rmr red dot on the T1 ? the rmr red dot is pretty damn perfect. Apparently left alt can change reticles so maybe that might be of help?
Fizz 5 Jun, 2021 @ 9:25am
@steve Ah so nothing can be done currently. Its fine dude! you dont need to do anything just because I have an issue. Its just slightly hard to see NBD. I suspect its probably dim only to me because I think my red-green colorblindness is getting in the way.
Steve  [author] 5 Jun, 2021 @ 9:18am
@Fizz, yes. But then when using NVGs, it's far too bright and makes the sight unusable.

Based on some stuff that's been added to CBA in the last year, it might be possible to add a brightness toggle.
Something I'll have to have a look at when I get time...
Fizz 5 Jun, 2021 @ 9:13am
Hey @steve! I wanted to know if there is anyway to increase the brightness of the red dot on the T1 when not using the G33(Its perfect with the g33). Thanks for making this fantastic mod!
Bones 21 Apr, 2021 @ 3:13pm
Thanks for the thanks.

Never been called wise before, Steve. Great work on this and all your other mods.
Atlas 20 Feb, 2021 @ 3:38am
While im not sure if its the same thing as the CoNVD, but i have seen images of black AN?PVS-22
Steve  [author] 20 Feb, 2021 @ 2:23am
No need to apologise @EliotXII - appreciate your interest in the mod.

@AgentRedCobalt - there's a discussion about that already somewhere in this thread. I'm not aware that L3 or anyone actually makes a black variant which is why I've not included it at the moment.
