unless you mean scripted to replicate the original DK style, in which case I'll debate on doing that after I finish them all.
all the levels in this collection so far have been scripted in "The Original Underlord" campaign pack here. The individual levels here are meant to be unscripted for others who may want to use them.
This is done for a few reasons, one of which being that unit stats and abilities are much different than the original. After doing playtesting I've noticed that keeping a lot of the original unit levels intact would make the levels easier than their original counterparts.
Gold is something that's always under consideration. While there is mana and no training cost, there is also the fact that the rooms are more expensive, and you have to pay for things like defenses/doors/potions/constructs. Another thing to consider is that, unlike DK, there are ways to increase your gold without gold (Avarice, Transmutation, Blood Money). The rule of thumb I'm going to go for is keep all the original gold positions intact, but give the player enough to be able to finish the level without additional spells, with them being available in case the player wishes to turtle and take their time.
the heroes seem to ramp up to high levels very quickly. Like, the third level had level five heroes already. This just feels somewhat off. any particular reason?
Also, how are you deciding how much gold to put on each gold tile? considering that WFTO has mana and no training costs, thus not requiring as much investment?
Noted, would look forward to the "Scenario" as the Dev said. Have fun on your project! ;)
I'll also probably be unable to make the deeper dungeons/DK2 maps. I've never had the deeper dungeons, and while I have beaten DK2, it was a long time ago and doesn't run on my computer now.
At the very least, the original DK1 campiagn has everything I need to work with in the dungeon keeper wiki and it's been a great help. (This includes complete map, as well as various events and settings of each level)
Originally I made a few maps for the fun of it, but when scripting was announced I began preparing for an entirely scripted remake and that's what my goal is going to be here.
To be honest with you, people like those made the maps here.

They're already available for download, BUT someone needs to add Scripting to make the classic campaigns to be fully functional. Also the map currently is based on old themes, that means no snow was available yet. You could change them if you ask the map authors.
