Hey im on New Esseker. im running on a dedicated server. ive got it enabled in CBA alongside antistasi Ultimate. but i cant seem to spawn them in as they instantly disappear or don't work at all. they dont dynamically spawn on anything

Hello all.
I am having an issue with the AnomalyDetector. When I join a dedicated server running this mod, I am unable to activate the detector in the context (scroll wheel) menu or by double clicking in my inventory. However, if I exit the dedicated server and go into the editor, the detector works as intended.
The CBA settings for the server are correct, I have looked, and I am the only player that is having this issue. The other players are able to interact with their detectors as intended.
Any help is appreciated.

Hey Diwako, great mod!

But since recently whenever i use this for the Unit i am in. It causes FPS issues after like an hour with more than 2-3 people untill the fps basically runs on 1 fps for everyone making the OP completly unplayable. THey cna relog and it will be solved for 20-30 mins before they run back on 1 fps.

Do you maybe know why?

Hey mate, first of all really nice work on the anomalies! Cant seem to get the detector working in the MP tho, any tips? The detector seems to shut down on its own when I get out off the inventory. Any key bind to activate it manually? Not using ACE atm

@Ky You can use setPos in the module init to change it's position before you spawn
e.g. "modulevariblename setPos [0,0,0];"

@Ky, there are some other mods on Steam Workshop that add anomalies. You can check them out too. Although, to be honest, I do prefer this one for its anomalies!

@Ky mate, I gave it a try pretty quickly. It seems that SOME roofs are indeed ignored and in the open no matter how high you set the module, the anomaly spawns indeed in terrain-level. BUT the floors of buildings work pretty fine. I tried to set the module on 1st floor (store) of a building and the anomaly spawned on 1st floor (store) indeed). To be honest, it would be really nice if it was possible for the anomalies to spawn on the exact position of the module (it would be awesome to try to navigate a helicopter between "spark" anomalies in the air in a fog-dense weather/environment) but, it seems that (at least for now) it is not.

Well. @diwako mate would it be possible to change that and make anomalies spawn on the exact position of the module. At least the anomalies the "single anomaly" modules spawn. And let the "field" module spawn them on ground level.

@A. Ares I've tried that, but sadly it doesn't seem to care how high I place the module, it just puts it on ground-level. Thanks for trying to help though, I really appreciate it!

@Ky mate, I am not 100% sure but I believe that anomalies spawn on the exact position of the module! So, if you place a module on a roof, then the anomaly will spawn on a roof!

Hey Diwako! Great job on the mod, just wondering if there's a way to get the anomalies to spawn in elevated areas, on top of roofs for example? I'm building a mission for my friends and want to make certain approaches and paths easier than others, and that involves some height variation.

As an aside from that, I'd love some CBA settings to adjust how long the anomalies are deactivated for when triggered as I have some areas I'd like to turn into mini time-puzzles, but I realize that may be a pain in the rear to implement and you might just not want to, which is fair enough.

atm it is as is. I need to do a lot more testing because I have changed how a few things work and it will probably break itself in existing missions in one way or another, maybe.

Understood. Do you plan to release the update anytime soon or will this mod stay available as-is?

Figured out the issue with fog module, I messed up something with other script and its radius was changed to 1x1. Still don't get it why the same amount of particles in one place drops the performance so much and when slightly dispersed - everything is normal.

script version is long not supported anymore really. I do have an updated version which was about to go into the mod, but it never made it

What's up with the fog anomaly module? It creates so many particles with no separation (so it's like 3 meters wide) that makes me drop FPS to 5. This doesn't happen if I create that anomaly through a call.

Also do you still maintain the script version of your work? Test mission on your github throws some errors and requires ACE by default.

I recently made a mission using this mod on the map new esseker and it crashed twice. I was told by a friend of mine the crashed could have been caused by using this mod on a different map than it was designed for is this true? thanks in advance

Check the addon options. Sounds like the anomaly detector item setting and the debug setting are overwritten.

Modules seem to be unable to be placed from zeus now for some reason. You can select the module but not place it.

@Nick I could be wrong but isn't there a field in addon options where you can put gasmasks class names to make the wearer immune?

Hi diwako,
Is there a way to set certain items like gasmasks or cbrn suits to allow players to enter the Fog anomaly without taking damage? (like in an init line somewhere)
If not, bummer, but all good.

in zeus only if you have Achilles or Zeus Enhanced loaded and the game master module set to allow all addons

you are allowed to make your own verison of this, but you are ont allowed to publish it on steam basically.

thew mod is also on github and you can get your changes added to the main mod as well that way,
