Thank you Squishy-kun. IDK on that. I been putting most of my EGS time into new creations but here and there try to update some older ones. I may take a look at this. I know it is very old now and wasn't made for any of the newer stuff even including wifi and current storage systems. I am not sure how much work it would be to update it but I will keep it in mind. I've created an updated version for A12. Had to strip a lot to keep it unlock level 10 as it was intended to be. Still very functional though. Also, added some modern stuff like storage, wireless, etc.

Thanks BatteryAcids. I should look into this one. I guess my problem is I think I crossed over 100 workshop creations and it is pretty overwhelming to try and keep them up to date with all the alpha changes. This one needs a bunch of stuff including new A10 storage etc. Thanks again!

Maybe this doesn't work for Alpha 11? The ship doesn't appear to be able to move at all. When I go into the P Menu, it shows it has a max speed off 100, but all other movement and thrust values are 0.

@onemanontheroade, Thank you! That is a good point. At the time I was trying to keep this cheap as possible and it did not occur to me I could add a thin layer of blocks there and still dock an HV. I may revisit this ship soon and do a couple changes and add alpha 9 cargo specs etc. Thanks again!

Love your designs as always. Just one question/concern about this vessel. The forward docking spot is just steel grow plots when the rest of the ship appears to be hardened steel, was that intentional? 25 Hit points to have another vessel docked to seem a bit... dangerous. You are certainly a Master Builder.

Ok, so after some testing, I noticed you only have the 1 door...but as it is on the inside, like many blocks, it makes that entire block count as airtight...so, one way to fix it is to change the curved block next to the cargo boxes into something that isn't airtight, or to move the door to the outside(which at current doesn't work because that's where you've stuck the windows)

I've tried a host of CVs and always end up back with the Nomad-XT. The hanger ringed with storage and constructors just worked pre-A9. With the new logistics, this design will be fun to take for a test-drive. I will miss the indoor repair bay, I can't make a run to the trader without getting shot to hell and needing to repair when I get back to the Nomad. Thanks!

Noticed something while walking around the ship in space, the double doors at the back block the airflow along the side passages, meaning there is no air between the construction room, and the doors into the farm

Great ship as starter, we are even using it to transport tanks since it has landing pad under.

It is lacking few turrets under (even sentry ones) but besides that it is really cool. I lost ramps due to that :D

Personaly I hope that they at least make it to where we can just disable the limit from CPU stat for those who dont want to worry about it and just build a epic war machine.

Or even better scrap the CPU stat idea entirely! I mean come on as if building a epic ship wasnt hard enough! If that CPU stat gets active my edited versions of the Kronos and the one Star Destroyer that I like are going to be completly unusable.

I play in single player mode and have a motherload of fuel tanks in both as well as a huge number of cannon turrets for providing surface fire support. Hell the Star Destroyer has over a thousand fuel tanks enabling it to remain in the air even on high g worlds for hours!

Thank you charlie.razor. As in alpha 9, I am still waiting to see what happens with the CPU. I believe it is far to limiting as it is especially with HV's. I went thru my past creations to see what would not work even with some modifications. It is very discouraging, and on some that are close enough to save requires some nasty changes with thrusters sizes and counts. I hope this gets addressed or 1/2 of the things I made in the past are dead. Thanks again for checking these out. Basically the smaller (class size) creations can work and the larger creations cannot.

Love this ship. I prefer to play a mobile base style using a CV and could not have asked for a better ship. I appreciate the low level/mat requirement for a ship that can be used all the way though late game and the preplanned room to get there.

The Carapace-C2 is my favorite CV on my friend's server. It's just the right amount of size annd function. Looking forward to the A90 version of it!

@Lee Andrew, I have a few things to finish up first, but I am planning on revisiting the Carapace-C2 with at least an alpha 9 update + paint scheme changes. However I was thinking about building a new version entirely potentially slightly bigger, but not crazy bigger. Thanks again!

@andreykl, not a bad idea an maybe I should cover the front bay with a some thin blocks, lowering the height just a bit too. I did use some plastic in the interior, however most of the interior walls are also the exterior walls so they where left as hardened steel. Where the core is under the steps in the floor, I left the stair sides hardened steel as well to offer a bit more potential protection there. Thanks again!

Huh, sorry, didn't realize front part was d a bay as well. May be it is better those plots with composite plates and hen texture them like a docking pad?

P.S. From my point of view those composite blocks are so cheap and light that they are a game changer for inner wals and decorations.

Thanks All! @Bedevere, I guess to me a larger CV is a mobile base. After having a decent CV that can do all base features short of forges, I no longer would want a base as it ties you down. But that is just my play style. However, that is why most of the CV's I build have a good amount of grow plots as they are also meant to be bases. @andreykl, what I did do is offset the front and back docking pads. The back is 3 blocks off the ground, which would translate to 12 HV sized blocks so a HV using that bay should be around 8-10 blocks tall. The front bay is 2 blocks off the ground, so 8 HV blocks. Items to work on the front should be ~6 blocks tall leaving room to fit. But yes, this was all very experimental to see how it would work out. Thanks again all!

Tried this docking pad, and most compact vessels (for example prefab tier 4 mining HV) can't reach this high. I like the disgn, Idea and I didn't even know that HVs can dock like that but ship clearly needs couple smaller/lower pads.
