How would you go about swapping out the gattling guns for, say, plasmas? Even in creative mode I get the "exceeded block limit on group Light Weapons" error. Removed them in my actual save game and now can't put weapons back in those four slots.

This took me from "I can kill drones" to "I can clear out all of the Zirax bases on my starter planet" with minimal resources. Thanks for the leg up!

@thethirdmike I am with ya on this one. I/we have been using fairly exclusively...such a great ship. Like the Charon, we have been upgrading it through our playthroughs. We recently (finally) crossed over into Reforged Galaxy playthrough (jsut before 1.4 came out) and ...well we had to mothball it (not due to 1.4 though).

It is like I got hit with a stupid stick lol...can't get the balance of cpu versus weight versus etc. correctly to be as effective...versus the badass'ery of the enemies (said with love).

I'd love to see a RF version of this by a more competent person. As for us we are hooked on RG. we will probably do a few playthroughs and then go do Reforged Eden.

I'm a huge fan of this entire series but the Merc-MAV has been my favorite since the first time I flew it. I hope this can be updated for the current version of the game someday. I found myself longing for the MAV during my first playthrough with CPU and Volume limits turned on so I created the Merc-LAV off of this chassis so I could still have a great looking but affordable SV early in the game: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2300984091

I've never posted any blueprints before so let me know if there is anything I need to do credit-wise. And keep the great ships coming!

Dude, this is still one of my favorite POI killer. Some servers block it but I just take a few of the offending items off. Jay, keep up the good work. Your the best designer. Don't listen to the trolls...

@Skullkrusher1990, I would guess you are looking at the stat screens seeing the old numbers on how pitch, yall, and roll were rated, don't actually test the item to see that those numbers have changed greatly with newer patches and then saying it is super slow. That is not the case. I may have to spend more time to take new stat screen shots to reflect the game changes done on how those stats read.

@Skullkrusher1990, again, I have no idea what you are talking about. Hard to store in CV??? This is a small ship and fits very easily with a small foot print. It really feels like you are simply going to all my creations to bash them with wrong information. This thing eats POI's like nothing with litterly 12 rocket launchers firing at once. Not only will it take out any turret on a POI in 1 shot, but more than likely punch a hole right into the POI. I like tanks too, but normally use SV's for POI combat. This is like 15 now you have went around bashing with almost all bad information. It is getting pretty annoying I will say. You are close to being blocked and I never blocked a person ever.

So once again popping by to express my opinion on your work.

This is not a bad attack Aircraft, but it is a pig to move and hard to store in a CV, Base or Station...basically it is the pods...yes they are effective but really them sticking up into the air on the strut things...is annoying they get in the way...
And really, if you are using it to attack Bases, a Tank and more practical style SV (Aircraft), is a better way of doing it...

So...for me, this is a no...
It was an interesting idea but not really practical.

Thank you strange99z and UncannyJedi! @strange99z, it does not however the back room area is 3 blocks wide and could easily fit one in the hallway on one side or the other. @UncannyJedi, thank you very much. The side effect to this SV is it does break weapon limit rules do to the 12 rocket launchers if you are using that rule in game settings or server settings. Thanks again!

This is a really great SV for attacking POIs or other hard emplacements.

It's still small enough to fit into most hangars. Cost wise it's very fair and doesn't feature any superfluous items or attachments.

Often times sv's that feature similar offensive power would not have the 4k cargo, which allows you to pick up "enough" loot of a POI home or even the 2.5k ammo capacity that lets you actually carry enough ammo.

This is ship is pretty much a benchmark for other sv's for me. The slight sluggishness of it's turning speed just adds more to its charm.

Putted 20 Launchers on it, only 18 are working. Its good, you hear "Wump!" and than a nice Impact.

@TashunkaSapa, It uses alpha 9 ammo storage. The stat screen doesn't list that. It has 2500 ammo volume which will hold 2000 missles and 4500 gattling gun rounds at once. Thanks.

Thanks Eisklinge20, Benito Mussolini, Icemann, Kelad, and The.Derpy.Deed :) @The.Derpy.Deed, I broke a weapons limit rule on this one. So it is still at 4 max rocket launchers. There is a game setting option in the description above saying what to select to allow this to be used in game. "Block limit for certain devices." in the game difficulty settings has to be set to false due to the weapon loadout. Thanks again all!

@Eisklinge20 : gebe dir voll recht , alles was ein cockpit aussen hat ist untauglich für den echten fight. Das sind dann auch hier so ungefähr 90% aller SV. Zu den CV will ich erst gar nichts sagen. Sicher ist das die wircklich guten Schiffe die auch für den Fight taugen ganz sicher nicht hier im Workshop landen, jedenfalls würde ich meine nie da reinstellen. Das macht ja jeden vorteil zunichte :)

Thanks Alanra. Hmm, I had this out for some testing and I was told it could take off with full load. 2x 2x5x2 lift thrusters on it. I will load it up tonight and do some testing. Thanks for the feedback!

optisch ist es nicht schlecht daher scharpho, gutes desing. ABER da ich dieses spiel zu gut kenne und weiß wie die waffen genutzt werden, sowohl von spielern als auch von der KI muss ich leider sagen das es nicht für den kampf geeignet ist. höstens für einen überraschungs erstschlag aber wenn man den jäger sieht ist das cockpit schneller weg als man kucken kann. bei guten kampfschiffen, wo jetzt in diesem spiel genutzt werden sollen ist es besser das cockpit zu umhüllen/einzubauen.

Sorry if my comment came across rude, I am looking at some others design recognize you as a great builder of ships and as I am under the weather the thought of building a new SV when I am not feeling creative, I decided to check this out. I just looking for something that can lift off as my design failed and some seroius salvage :)

@jrandall ty for reply, just so you're aware Volume is space taken, Mass = weight. It's important as I found a crashed CV with 10 or so engines to salvage and on my own design, while I had the volume for the engines I could not take off until I got rid of some weight, Fortuantley the vessel that had crashed had cargo so I could F4 some into it till I could achieve take off. Which for my SV in 0.9g was 400Tonnes.

Thanks echothechaos, lowgear, Commander_Arrawn [Twitch] , and Alanra! @Alanra, it is 4125 volume storage, 2500 volume ammo. It should take off loaded up. The only issue that I know of with the ship was the purposeful weapon load out. The more I think about the CPU, which does limit everything including weapons, the more I think maybe the current weapon limits should be removed. It would allow for a greater range of different types of ships, but limited to 7500 cpu, you can't go crazy if you want the ship to actually work in game. Thanks again all!

@jrandall looks interesting, what Tonnage can it carry, I see you have included Volume but some things weigh a lot and with Weight enabled will it take off if I have salvaged things like some large ship thrusters?
