Bummer.
It doesn't work with Subtler Hyperspace (your sound effect and his travel animation disappears, but his sound effect still remains).
The mod itself: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1367444689
I'm a quite fan of Elite Dangerous
P. S. YouTube has lowered audio volume and quality. This sounds better ingame.
This sounds was recorded in Sidewinder (when I've only started to play ED). Also this is supercruise sounds, not an actual jump. And also mod has some volume balance issues.
Maybe I should remake this mod, record an actual large ship sounds in hyperspace. And do some better mastering.
Try to subscribe again, maybe problem won't appear again. But if it stll, maybe we can make some research.
Because I really don't think that such simple mod just as few replaced sounds can cause crashes.
I'm glad my video was helpfull!
But not right now, unfortunately I will access my PC only in two weeks.

Oh no wait, in this few jumps right now I was just jumping into the star-system.
It happens only when I choose also a planet or a station to travel too.
And it seems it actally doesn't ignore step 3 and 4.
It was just so fast that I didn't notice it.
I will make a Video.
And yes, some recorded footage may be helpful.
Part_2
Now if I choose a very short jump, like the width of 2 or less index-finger, on an HD-screen, between stars, the wind-up becomes so long,
that the jump on the Star-Map is almost or already over.
And so the game does the following, I think:
Step 1
Step 2 ("Frameshift-Drive charging. ... 4, 3, 2, 1, engage.")
Ignores Step 3, because we are already in the new system.
Ignores Step 4, because we are already in the new system.
Game doesn't konw where it is and confuses Step 6 with Step 5, if it had to go to a planet I alredy visited once, so it loads the Sub-Light-Background in stead.
Do you want a log-File or a Video to see what I see?
Part_1
Very short jumps...
FTL-jumps seem to consist out of 5 (/ 6) Steps.
1) Leafing the current background.
2) Sub-Light-Speed.
3) Transition-Flash.
4) FTL-Jump with the FTL-background
5) Exiting FTL-Jump with an other Transition-Flash.
/ 6) Sub-Light-Speed to the choosen target location, and if needed load and enter planet
/ background with one more Transition-Flash.
As soon as the ship is moving away from the planet,
on the Star-Map the ship is already leafing behind the Star-system.
And what is going on on the Star-Map seems to be the actual case of the progress.
Realy cool mod.
But the game has a bit of confusion going on when it is a (very) short jump.
I think... when the wind up for the Elite Dangerous Sound is... the jump itself is like over half way done already and than it just flashes up, without the moving FTL-background, and is in the new system.
Like with the Faster Than Faster Than Light Mod.
And sometimes it forgets to load the correct background, with the planets if I do direct travel.
Doesn't influence the gameplay itself, it is still posible to port down,
but it is the planet not to see. XD
I guess it needs a new minimum travel time, so that stuff has an opertunity to load in, now that the windup for the jump is so long in comparison to vanilla.
