@jrandall this beauty is the only one that I know, so far, working with and advanced core, that is able to fly in a 4G planets!!! Congratulations!!! You should have some love to the MX14 and MX18 because they are awesome too :steamhappy:

Yeah I see what you mean. I love this ship so I went ahead and modded it for my own use... like you said I had to remove almost all the RCS, quite a few medium thrusters and I also pulled out the second constructor. It aint pretty... but its working for me. I'll hang onto it while I check out your newer creations.

Thanks rootzij, stevehl, and Bitdwagon! I am aware of this. I actually have a A12 version of this however the cuts I had to make suck and I never updated the blueprint. Beyond removing all RCS, all constructors, I also had to remove ~8 main thrusters which most of them had thruster housing built around as the main body shape of the ship. It is depressing. The ship works this way but the cuts made are so annoying I could not get myself to update it. It suffers from the same problem I have with the MX12 thru 18. They are just to big of ships to work with CPU in any kind of nice way. Maybe I could make a ship of this size again from ground up for CPU and flight model, but the bigger ships made in the past don't translate well. New SV's are on my to do list thou. Thanks again!

Hello Jeff! I thought I'd take a stab at removing the RCS's and making in work.. but there are 80 RCSs in it! I have been hunting for an hour and I still haven't found them all. The third person God mode Easter egg hunt is really a challenge.. LOL! It does fly but there will be too many holes in it. II guess I will just way to you re-work it. Thanks,

Thank you Knarre Sbeat and Trym! I do plan on making a new tier 4 type SV soon. As in the MX12H, I have a version around that is A11 compatible, but I hate the changes that had to be done like removing main thrusters which looks so out of place when I can't fill the thruster housings. So I have not replaced the blueprint. I realized I would be better off just starting something new. Thanks again!

I read elsewhere you have given up making this for the current version of the game. It is my favourite Empyrion ship by far :)
I was wondering if you plan to make a new ship that can do most of the same?

Thank you rootzij! I actually have an alpha 11 version of this. I didn't like the changes I had to make mainly removing thrusters that were part of the design. It made the ship look odd lol. So I been reluctant to replace this workshop creation with it. But I also don't want to release more new ships or versions of the older ones as been releasing a bunch of stuff lately as well. I don't want to flood the workshop. So I haven't done anything yet. To switch the ship over to a 11, you must remove all RCS, 4 of the 8 thrusters off the back, 2 from each side, maybe some of the smaller ones, and 1 constructor + add 4 tier 4 CPU blocks. I think it gets close to 100% efficiency then. Maybe removing a couple front on down thrusters too. Thanks again!

Jeff, this is by far my favorite heavy SV. I "won it" while in server play so it was really nice not to have to save up for it. It works very well and it looks great. I am looking foreword to when you getting round to modifying it for it for Alpha 11. I know from your videos that you don't enjoy modifying as much as new designs. I get it - have a good day.

Well update - it's just me and my GF on the server, so she tried building this and also got blueprint failed. Since nobody else besides LlamaofFluffitude is having any issues, seems like it's got to be something with our saves/server/whatever. Also whenever we approach a cluster of Zirax structures to the north of Zircis, the game bugs wildly, buildings disappear, and if we quit and reload, we are in very different places - often with ships stuck hundreds of feet in the air! So jrandall please don't waste any of your time investigating this. Factories are building the MX15 and Perseus2 now - they look absolutely fantastic and can't wait!

jrandall, thank you SO much for all your incredible work - seriously, the sheer amount of incredible ships you've got on here is mindblowing! You make this game SO much more fun.

I'm still on 10.5.1; I've had weird things happening with my factory in general, such as even before I got the "failed blueprint" it would show no ship in the factory, but the countdown would continue. This also happened with the LCD variant on this ship that somebody else did. I did verify my game cache and all was OK, so let me delete both and redownload - surely it's on my end?

happened in 10.6 for me. And good news Jeff, CPU totals just got revised, should be much easier for you to hit those targets now. Only issue from now on will be thruster location for torque percentages

Thanks thetastycat and FluffyLlama! As in the issue I am reading here, well, I don't have really anything to add. I am not sure why the issue would suddenly start to happen, but I did want to know if you are in 10.5 or 10.6 Experimental. I could see having some possible issues with 10.6 currently as I been seeing some wacky issues myself. I just was wondering if it was happening in 10.5 (Non experimental) version of the game to question if something happened to to uploaded blueprint or maybe I need to re-upload it. Thanks again!

@thetastycat I had the same problem yesterday with a different BP. Verifying file integrity and restarting the game seemed to fix it

Hey all - this looks amazing and I've been trying for a week to get it in-game, but either the factory will delete my build progress (but leave my resources!) or when it finally finishes it will say "blueprint failed" - also the LCD version does the same thing. Think maybe just unsubscribe/resubscribe? Thanks a lot!

@FluffyLlama, I forgot to mention that I also removed all the RCS in the MX10 test. It flew decently yet, and just fit in the tier 4 specs. However this ship is nearly 2x the weight. So, if I did get it to work in CPU tier 4, I would have to remove all the same stuff and even more like weapons. Basically I think it is far to big to be a CPU ship unless it was just the shell of what it is currently. Thanks again!

well one thing I can say is that RCS seems almost obsolete with the new thrust system, so you could remove all of those for an immediate gain :)

Thank you TaTu <DK> and FluffyLlama! @FluffyLlama! , I honestly don't know how I could really get this ship to work well with CPU without removing warp, shield, and 1/2 the thrusters. But, IDK yet for sure and everything is in flux. The smaller model, the MX10, those things had to be done to get it CPU compliant at tier 4. So this larger heavier ship would have more problems yet. So I just don't know at the time. Thanks again!

Another "keeper" - working nicely in Project Eden and just passes the "fits through the Nomad door" test :) I'm getting decent fuel efficiency running half-power and taking full advantage of the auto-brake function. Thanks!

Thank you Na_Palm, Bromius, Kula808, and Mercenary Crow! @Na_Palm and Mercenary Crow, I have the 3 buildings which were making the city scene on my workshop as friends only. The thing with them is they are more or less fake. Built with carbon substrate and have no interiors. The glass on the builds is actually not glass but just blocks painted with a marble texture and custom colors. They would be too big and high class size if they had interiors and real glass etc. Well, and take much longer to build. I more or less made them as props about 5-6 months ago so I could create a city like scene. @Bromius, do to the weight and armor, it needed a lot of thrust to move decently therefore uses a fair amount of fuel. At least it does have the standard mode which helps some. I guess that is a trade off for the increased armor thickness and weight. If it were a single block thickness and steel, it could get by with far less thrusters/generators and be much better on fuel. Thanks again all!
