Pyratite Mixer (6)

I really like this schematic for how magical it feels to have work. I took your 6-mixer design and compacted it into 36-block footprint (as opposed to a 48-block) with different input sides. If anyone out here is randomly reading these comments, try a few different designs and see which ones you like. :D

Elinsen, swapping the inverted sorters will break the schematic because 2 mixers will not get sand and 2 will not get lead.

The current layout allows sand and lead to pass by each other through the junction. For example, the sand bridges feed the bottom 2 mixers, then sand goes straight through the lead sorter, the junction, and then the sand sorter alternates left and right into the top 2 mixers.

I was also having the same issue , with only 4 of the 6 mixers working. After closer evaluation, I discovered that you must already have the Unloader unlocked in the research tree in order for the last two mixers to work.

Works great. Thank you

Great design! I tried to swap the inverted sorters with the simple ones out of curiosity and they somehow clog the system (although in theory they should work just the same, with inverted selection ofc) and my puny feeble brain can't quite comprehend it so can someone please explain the logic behind this (sorry for the noobie question)?

Please make sure you are supplying resources at a sufficient rate to allow for full output, or use the smaller design.

Also, the six pyratite design is only using 4/6 instead of all 6. I am not an expert at this game, so I couldn't figure out why, sorry.

@serdar, you're design is no better, only 2/6 work

Nice work killall. Compact, Runs at full rate, Works fine with overdrive. I didn't check (yet) whether multiple units touching one another are ok.

Serdar's entry works equally well, but is a little wider. Would be preferable in layouts where you're limited in what I'll call the length.

I don't see where to rate it. Thumb up or down is all I see. But that is another topic...

@mekilie - It works fine if you supply enough input.

Please make sure you are supplying resources at a sufficient rate to allow for full output. Input using titanium conveyors or bridges, copper conveyors are insufficient.

Only two mixers out of six work. Bad design.

Yup. Cause pyratite has an escape path through that junctions to the sorter and to the bridge. It will not clog the system until it overflows. Even if it overflows, it will still leave the system after overflow situation gone.

Ok, I've replaced the unloader with an underflow gate, as it does fix the inefficiency caused by coal refeeding into the mixers they were unloaded from. Even though it does allow pyratite to enter the coal line, that pyratite is extracted and I have not been able to clog it in my testing.

I suggest you to change the coal distribution like that:

This is far more efficient

I like this one, as well as the 4 mixer version. I made versions of both for silicon and metaglass.
