Just thought this was funny:
"Q: Does this mod work with RimWorld 1.1?
A: Yes! We are backwards compatible!"

Meanwhile the mod is only backwards compatible to 1.4

@Sarg Bjornson how does their schedule need to be configured exactly in order to get them to read? I've had them do it during their rec time and work time and neither has been helpful. Do you need to have them set to do the task in question for them to read it?

I am posting this message across all of our mods because many people seem to have forgotten about it:

- We do not check comment sections for bug reports. There is simply too many mods and too many comments section to keep track of it.
- We are not looking into fixing bugs reported in the comment section. We have no way to do so. There is no logs, and no information viable for bug fixing.
- We only look into fixing and fix bugs reported using our Google Forms for bug reporting, and only if all the required logs are attached.

I'm having some trouble getting my colonists to actually read the books. Whenever I prioritize reading the book the colonist goes and sits down, then gets up within a second and leaves to do something else. Am I missing something?

I also had the same thing happen. It would switch back and forth between Lab and Library at random. I turned this mod off and it did seem to fix the issue for me.

I can confirm there is an issue with this mod breaking the new Laboratory requirements. This mod causes bookshelves to make a room a Library, which causes you to get a research penalty in the new expansion. I tested this by removing this mod and the issue was resolved.

i just made a lab by placing my research building down but noticed as soon as i placed a bookcase storage down it changed the room role into a library, negating the laboratory research buff and applying a malus. Is this a change on your end given 1.6's patch change? The bookshelves are from reels mod, but i think the room role might be from VFE books mod

To the person who asked if there's a way to stop travelers from using this work bench, when I set up books to be written I plan them out with specific authors. This mitigated that issue quite well

Quick question. Is the only thing is mod adds over base game as of 1.6 the ability for colonists to write skill books and newspapers in colony?
I am not missing some extra feature I am forgetting about?
SO many mods I forget what half do or what over laps. Working on striping my play set down for 1.6.

why are newspapers that are rewards that are dropped by pods cant be clicked? they are literally one with the ground, fused together there is no way to interact with it

Is there a way to deny guests/travelers/etc from using my writing table? They keep starting books and using up all my cloth, deleting the started book only returns 75% of the material so i eventually run out of cloth for anything else.

Pawns don't seem to put books back into storage after reading them. A couple times a quadrum I have to go through pawn inventory and force them to unload the books they're hauling around. Intentional behavior of the mod?!?

Is this normal that lvl 20 Intellectual pawn made only a good book about Intellectual?
He had lvl 20 at the start of the process and all the way through it too, maintaining 70%+ happiness too if that matters.

I had Legendary Newspapper as a quest reward. It's not just looks useless, it disappeared after landing in drop pod, needs to be fixed.

Same issue as AerosAtar, I have my skill book bills set to 'Do Until 1'. But once the pawns store the books on the vanilla bookshelves the bill can no longer detect the book. The bill is set to 'look everywhere' and to count carried books.

Not quite sure how to raise this, as I can't use the form due to there being no log (since it isn't an issue that generates errors), but "Do Until X" bills on the writers table don't seem to recognise books stored in (vanilla) bookcases - only stockpile zones and shelves.

what do you mean by quality? Im trying to make them write a book for each skill but they write a bit, sometimes half and when they go off to do something else the unfinished book is destroyed. I do have a restriction where they can only store books from good to legendary.

I've been noticing that my pawns don't make books at the quality I expect relative to their skill - my 20 Int pawn making only a good quality Int book - Is there some randomness to the quality, or is this a bug?

Librarian Ideo Role - improves reading effectiveness, reacts immediately to "Dirty Library" by cleaning it.
Prodigious Writer trait - improved writing speed and quality (obviously), but also derives recreation from writing.

A small bookshelf that works like the existing one except:
- doesn't mark the room as Library Room
- can only store schematics and/or newspapers
- can store 20 of them

Useful for storing schematics in a lab without it becoming a library
Useful for storing newspapers in a dining room or rec room without it becoming a library

Another small bookshelf that attaches to the wall and only stores 3 items and doesn't mark it as a library could be useful for a pawn's bedroom, as well.

Are you likely to add fiction at some point?
I've been hoping quietly that you'll add fiction so my main writer isn't just writing skill books all the time and can write like she used to in Sims 3 (mostly Fantasy and Sci Fi, though Sci Fi is probably moot in Rimworld). Would also love to be able to make children's books.
