Coming back to this puzzle with an extra year of puzzle solving experience under my belt. I could not figure this out before, but just solved it in about 15 minutes now. Probably helps that I've seen the solution for the original Coprime...

Very nice map. @Joric's solution is the path for 4-3+4=5, while I did 3+3-4+3=5. I love how you need to do math in order to plan. This is (I think) my first puzzle of this kind. I would probably forbid the jump button and mid-air controls entirely and lower the floor near the exit by at least 1/4.

Wondering if we could use Reportaling here {LINK REMOVED} I tried but couldn't do it. The setup seems matching, as one of the portals could be horizontal, maybe I just have crappy hardware/low fps or the engine was updated.

I think I had to do some in-air control to actually get into the opposite portal - just moving backwards a bit while between angled panels. Never had any bumps when flinging out though.

@SunnyOst I can't quite repeat your solution from the video, there's always a tiny bump when I fling out of the angled panel. Are there any tricks?

@Holyraine1
I had a similar experience. While I don't agree that something not taught in the singleplayer campaign shouldn't be used in workshop maps, the execution barrier is rather high. I had to spoil myself the solution and I could not believe what it was--it wasn't intuitive, in a bad way. It feels like I did discount the solution as it's rather difficult to execute. It took me at least 10 minutes to execute it.

I also played the No Elements collection earlier and did not have an experience like this.

Ok, so I tried your explanation, but I think the one I did relies on velocity limit, so it doesn't change anything and I consistently get like 40 units higher than necessary. This should also explain the consistency of this move in my levels... I guess that one is on me :lunar2019piginablanket: It certainly does improve the intended solution, although imo it's very counter-intutive not to jump - even the ending of this level requires it to comfortably get up, as would any simpler move between two horizontal platforms. I'm sure I was also heavily trained on that by my own no elements map I just made that requires it pretty much on every move :P

@SunnyOst Ah you found that annoying little angle that enables yiur solution; perhaps I should really prevent that. The inconsistencies you experienced might be explained by your jumping before initiating all the flings; if you don't jump, it works for me with full consistency
Joric 20 Jan, 2023 @ 4:50pm
@SunnyOst that's so cool!
SunnyOst 20 Jan, 2023 @ 3:53pm
My solution is different from the vids I see: https://youtu.be/PJ0zI2K41nY
The intended solution is pretty quirky, I like it :p
I'm not sure if there's an issue with this setup in particular or it's now always the case with going between angled panels, but I was having a real hard time not hitting some edge. Like 9 out of 10 times I got flung into a wall or water. I don't remember it being this bad, I even have them in my own chambers and they were fine afaik. Maybe some P2 update did it?
Didn't make for a particularly enjoyable experience, unfortunately :(

Thanks for playing everyone! I'm happy to hear that most of you enjoyed it.
@Joric @bullfrog Thanks a lot for your videos especially! You both found the intended solution :D

I watched the video :steamhappy:

Excellent puzzle, definite  I first played this soon after it was published, but didn’t manage to solve it. I’m now going through the ‘No Elements’ collection by @Mevious; got to ’No Elements 11: Momentum’ and realised that it held the answer to this puzzle: intended solution ?
Perci 18 Jan, 2023 @ 1:18pm
I played the original No Elements collection, SeeSaw, and Connections and didn't require a walkthrough for any of them.
For this one, I have no fucking idea.
If this is 3.5/10, those must have been 2/10 I guess.
Probably got to do some awkward half height jump and juggle around almost vomiting myself I guess.

Very nice map! One move is indeed a bit counterintuitive. It took me a while to get it. The reason is simply that I expected "ninja reflexes" if I would ever come out of the floor and then turn around and shoot the floor, so I overlooked solutions like that. I forgot that the decreasing speed/velocity grants enough time to do that. I also found another method which gave me slightly more momentum than the intended solution, so I couldn't get it to work and always stopped at the top end of the angled panel. Took me some time to throw that idea. Fun stuff. :p2blue:
Totally Not Savathûn 13 Jan, 2023 @ 1:50am
Not hard, just stupidly fiddly and with an issue that it seems far too easy to catch on the lip at the top of the drop and thus have to start up all the momentum transfer again.
DanceDown 12 Jan, 2023 @ 11:09am
Fun chamber! And a lot of math involved... Having to fall 5 units down to land exactly on the other side, but only having a 4 unit deep pit. But you need quick reflexes and a strong sense of orientation (which I don't have)
In general: Enjoyable map, would love more "No elements" maps!

ugg im still so awful at these maps so i needed a hint at the beginning
Cyren 11 Jan, 2023 @ 8:06am
Was stuck until I clocked the name of the map - very nicely done ;)
Libbybapa 9 Jan, 2023 @ 2:09pm
Fun map. Well-designed and clever. The solution was entirely consistent for me.
nekochan AL 9 Jan, 2023 @ 2:03am
i feel like the main problem with this level is that it can be very difficult to get right if you dont know how to solve it beforehand. due to the fact that it uses techniques that arent taught or used in the singleplayer campaign, and its not even 100% consistently successful of a trick on top of that. a casual player could actually attempt to solve the puzzle the intended way, but end up failing due to the inconsistency, and assume thats not how theyre supposed to solve it
Joric 9 Jan, 2023 @ 12:29am
It's not supposed to be intuitive, it's supposed to be calculated, falling into the goo a couple of times is not much of a penalty.
asd417 8 Jan, 2023 @ 11:50pm
I dont think it's very intuitive. Frustrating too that depending on whether you jump or not the move fails and you only get to know if you failed at the very last moment.
Joric 8 Jan, 2023 @ 2:24pm
OK I did it: https://youtu.be/KCheOiGGpjE had to watch clues here. Difficulty 4/10 perhaps considering I took me a few hours and then I went to sleep and then it hit me.
joe98 8 Jan, 2023 @ 1:48am
Watched your video thank you. Have no hope of getting this map out!
nerdlingnation 7 Jan, 2023 @ 11:38pm
Cool. Took me just a few minutes. I think I first ran into this idea in Libby's "Not so Fast." Nice little puzzle.
Dark Rozen 7 Jan, 2023 @ 4:17pm
funny
klaus.sfc01 7 Jan, 2023 @ 2:29pm
nice map :) onyl one thing i want to say this isn't a remake this is a completly different map it uses completly different ideas (in range of no elements) compared to the original coprime i got stuck 20 minutes just because i tried to solve it in the most complex way ever which i think is the factor that adds difficulty to no elements i am now inspired thank you :)
Nobody No-One 7 Jan, 2023 @ 2:26pm
Nice map, very cleanly presented idea. I'm so unused to the idea of coming out of a floor portal and not shooting that same colored portal on the ceiling that I kept messing up the portal colors even after I knew the solution. Thumbs up.
Dolphiner 7 Jan, 2023 @ 1:07pm
"Be careful about jumping" heheh... Very elegant map, managed to get it with little hassle this time :)
Aneonen 7 Jan, 2023 @ 12:39pm
Very cool remake - it's so rare to see floor-ceiling pairs 'broken out of' like this!
The addition that punishes players for being too eager to fling out of the floor surface at the beginning made me laugh a little.
