@maceleet sounds great! :steamthumbsup:

You welcome @Cosmo, I plan to add more features in the future for those who care about performance or quality. Maybe even integrate optimization for other popular mods.

Hey @maceleet I feel a lot of work and love in this mod, thank you very much, my PC is powerful but the zomboid is not very optimized especially when driving at high speed through the city. I am currently testing your mod, so far without any problems.

Server owners are advised to update their steamclient.so (for linux), you can get them at your steamcmd folder.

For windows, need to update steamclient.dll, steamclient64.dll, tier0_s.dll, tier0_s64.dll, vstdlib_s.dll and vstdlib_s64.dll. You can get them from steamcmd as well.

It is not a mod issue, it is PZ using outdated API.

Guys many of you have asked to bring back the old version of the mod with all the features for B41. I uploaded the mod as promised:

This mod isn't working on my server, I'm not sure why apparently the update is failed?
maceleet  [author] 14 Jul @ 7:35am
Guys, I updated the mod today. There was nothing to fix, so I decided to improve the quality of the textures of humans and zombies, as well as improve the original skin tone of people and zombies.

I hope you like it! <3
maceleet  [author] 14 Jul @ 7:30am
I was going to upload it, I'll do it now.

By the way, when the mod for B42 gets enough likes, more performance options will appear here too!

Thank you for updating your mod i noticed a great fps improvement in b42 thanks to your work i was wondering if it might be possible for you to share or reupload the older version of the mod that included the homelander pic i had better fps on b41 when using that version and i would really appreciate having access to it again if you still have it available.
maceleet  [author] 11 Jul @ 5:37am
Same as B41 instruction, BUT... Activate it for now. Because I'm going to upload an update today
Ruru 11 Jul @ 5:08am
YOW I was waiting for this! thank you for your godly work man! can I ask do I have to do the same instruction as b41 or this is automatically uploaded in my gameplay as long as I have it activated on my modlist?
maceleet  [author] 10 Jul @ 11:19pm
Are you talking about flies 🪰? Then yes.
WitheringHex 10 Jul @ 7:20pm
Has the B41 mod been fixed yet?
maceleet  [author] 9 Jul @ 6:34pm
@aubri, he promised return back when B42 Stable comes out 😅
maceleet  [author] 9 Jul @ 7:55am
Change the mod order, also read the compatibility
진지사피언스 9 Jul @ 5:06am
When I use this mod, I see rags in my clothes. What should I do?
Clothing Does Not Display Patches It seems to conflict with this mod..
Is there a way?
Ismællö 8 Jul @ 6:06pm
how much VRAM is the mod supposed to save? I don't see any difference on my end
Day6 8 Jul @ 6:45am

aubri 8 Jul @ 6:04am

I NEED A HERO started playing on my mind when I saw this update
Blast (AKA LostAmI) 7 Jul @ 7:14pm
ooh! update! YA BABY!
maceleet  [author] 7 Jul @ 6:17pm
@SIMBAproduz, I'll answer for myself: Personally, my game and inventory is getting smoother work than before. Noticeably less stutters when there are a lot of zombies or items laid out on the floor. Thanks to my mod I can not put a checkmark in the settings “Compress textures” and enjoy normal 2048p textures instead of 256p or 512p.
Hans-Landa 7 Jul @ 5:45pm
The based RETVRN of the VRAM saver.
maceleet  [author] 7 Jul @ 4:34pm
This mod supports both Builds, 42 and 41. I just had to move the optional features of Build 41 under the other mod, which I will post tomorrow.
WitheringHex 7 Jul @ 4:20pm
Just read your latest comment Maceleet. So it seems that the mod doesnt load whatsoever anymore for B41, and you are going to post the update for that soon?

Will this be an entirely new workshop ID/Mod ID, or will it be added back to this workshop page and included alongside this B42 updated version?

Thanks for the great mod. Have a nice day!
maceleet  [author] 7 Jul @ 2:55pm
Good afternoon everyone!
Here is the long awaited update for Build 42. The optional versions of the previous Build 41 had to be moved to another mod ID due to restrictions. I'll upload them back tomorrow and post a link! :spiffo:
SIMBAproduz 7 Jul @ 2:50pm
"Performance boost?" What do you mean buddy?
Will I improve the textures and have better performance? Won't the FPS decrease?
Ogno 5 Jul @ 1:48pm
Hey dude. I just wanted to say that although I never really used your Build 41 version for long (I'm a fairly New Player), I'm excited to see the update for 42 regardless.
maceleet  [author] 4 Jul @ 10:01pm
@Blake9240, yes you can simply activate it!

@Everyone, Guys, I'm currently working on improving the quality of all textures. This is a titanic job because this time I'm doing everything manually without artificial intelligence (texture optimization was also done manually). When I finish it, I'll try to upload it for B42 Unstable. It's not difficult for me, the problem is that Steam is blocked in my country, and I can't bypass it via a computer (no working VPN). 🦅
Blake9240 4 Jul @ 11:27am
a question regarding installation -

Can i rather just install the mod and activate it? or do I have to go into the directory like stated to manually swap the file like in the instructions? I was failing to understand if that's only for people who install mods without using workshop, or what?
LambVORTEX 26 Jun @ 11:07am
I wish you the bestest of lucks on this journey. You're the best for doing this for us all.
maceleet  [author] 26 Jun @ 11:02am
If the build has common textures, they can be optimized with this mod. I even allow editing the mod if you or your server need it.

In the meantime, I continue to work on optimization for 42 build. It was not easy, as visual errors occurred, but I fixed them. I also wanted to maintain maximum quality without compromising the performance of which I also achieved. Now I'm interested in improving the quality of original textures without losing performance.
LambVORTEX 26 Jun @ 5:48am
I was actually gonna ask until I saw your response to M4R10. Can't wait to optimize this game to the max!...

Even though I get 60 FPS all round... Still nice to take advantage.
maceleet  [author] 22 Jun @ 1:43am
Currently this mod is designed for build 41 textures, if build 42 has common textures it will optimize them. The short answer is yes.
M4R10 20 Jun @ 7:22pm
Hey, I have a question. So for B42 this mod doesnt do anything right? Is it completely obsolete, or will it improve performance even a bit while using it?
mayonez 18 Jun @ 8:43am
that's why he's the goat! THE GOAT! :lh_scream:
the wok 17 Jun @ 2:44am
this is so cool
<> J0J0 M00N <> 14 Jun @ 11:09pm
Thanks man , good jobs, we will enjoy your update for sure !
♔ Ali ♔ 13 Jun @ 6:58pm
horrivel, não baixa de jeito nenhum
maceleet  [author] 13 Jun @ 12:03pm
Thanks for understanding, by the way I decided to test texture optimization for beta build 42, and it turned out to be even more effective than in build 41!
Build 41 has about 3 thousand textures that can be optimized, while build 42 uses 7 thousands textures!
In general, I decided to work on finalizing the future update for Every Texture Optimized.
