Would this mod treating him as unmarried under royal tree effect births at all?
@mg478467 Probably the mod did not load correctly. Are you using any other mods? Just in case, you have started a new campaign right?
@Buuwack That's fine, the mod is killing the faction leader's ancestors
When you put armor on Peleus (Phthia faction) his model changes, and doesn't revert back if you take the armor off. Not sure if this was intended or not.

Not here to argue which is correct or historical I was just curious.
i think Siptah being Amenmesse's son doesn't fit game's canon.
Dodson suggested Amenmesse being Seti's son, hence Siptah Son of Amenmesse is Seti's grandson (thus somewhat legitimate for Bay to support in this Amenmesse' son theory).
but game's canon, Amenmesse isn't Seti's son.
also Amenmesse is half Kushite in game canon,
Siptah is examined to be red hair, which would be extremely rare for a Kushite to have ginger hair.
Siptah also got some interesting potential bloodline, his mum could be a Canaanite named Sutailya, could make this "Sutailya" belong to Bay faction married to either Merneptah or Seti.
being Merneptah's successor also allows higher historical roleplay, as if one wishes to stick with history as much as possible, Amenmesse faction would have been defeated and then Siptah got almost no chance to become pharaoh.
just an idea, keep up the good work :)

That's a good point, though my experience with Dynasties has proven quite different to Legacy TWP in terms of why/ when civil wars start.
In Legacy, Mernaptah's dead by turn 20ish and civil war starts. In the two Dynasty Egypt campaigns I've played both to turn like 80ish, there have been two civil wars (in each campaign) because contenders arise with legitimacy, and in both Merneptah is STILL alive as I'm finishing up the 1190's (6TPY). So from what you said about him dying and civil war starting, in my experience when he finally DOES die, there have already been a couple civil wars.
@Il-Khan of Persia That is an interesting option. When I made the mod, I had to decide how to relate several characters whose parentage is disputed. I decided to move Merenptah (son) to another faction for two reasons: first, because Setnakhte's vanilla faction was playable and needed a faction leader.. Second, I wanted Merneptah (father) to have no heirs at his death, so that his death could spark a civil war. In addition, I do not think that a lesser son should become the Pharaoh's heir.
Now that pharaoh Merneptah's son Mereneptah is faction leader of Setnakhte's vanilla faction, pharaoh Merenaptah has no heir to take his throne when he dies. I have a solution if you'd like. Just a thought I had :)
I see this mod adds Siptah as the son of Amenmesse. We indeed don't know his father but Amenmesse is a theory that's been considered. We know Tausret's not the mother, but either Seti (who's currently the most popular theory), Amenmesse, or even pharaoh Merneptah (must have had him recently) is the father.
