Would it be possible to make the new gods look more like the existing gods in the game?
hsaIV 14 Jul @ 5:22am
It works, Thanx.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 11 Jul @ 1:35am
Hi, I have updated the mod to add the custom gods to non-playable factions. You need to load this mod on top of the faction unlocker. Let me know if it works for you!
hsaIV 10 Jul @ 7:58pm
I wanted to play as Athens with Athena but this doesn't work with faction unlocker sadly.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 25 Jun @ 8:24am
Do you mean in the gods panel or in the campaign map? He should be located in the Canaanite pantheon, and he is unlocked by conquering a settlement in the Sinai realm.
mirabrilliante 25 Jun @ 6:19am
i can't find yahweh bruh
Amulet of Kings  [author] 20 Jun @ 11:02am
Thats a great suggestion, unfortunately, I'm no longer adding content to the mod :steamsad:

Hello, in the game nubian soldiers often praise Apedemak, a nubian god of fertility and warfare. Can you add Apédémak as nubian god ?
Amulet of Kings  [author] 21 May @ 11:47am
Great!
Numb 20 May @ 4:37pm
Thanks! i did it
Amulet of Kings  [author] 20 May @ 4:54am
Hi Numb, to create mods you need a tool called Rusted Pack File Manager, it allows you to edit ingame stats in Excel-like tables. You should import effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions_tables from my mod and edit Yahweh's effects and stats. It's quite easy, but confusing the first time you do it.
Numb 19 May @ 7:52pm
how do i edit bonuses because I want to make YAWEH op
Amulet of Kings  [author] 13 May @ 8:18am
Both mods edit the same script, so they can't be made compatible without creating a compatibility submod. If you are interested, I can tell you how to create it (it's easier than it seems).
Herr Christof 13 May @ 3:18am
Is it possible to add more worship slots? There's a mod for that, but it isn't compatible with this one
Viscount Danku 30 Apr @ 10:05am
Come on, no Nergal for Mesopotamia? Great mod nontheless.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 22 Apr @ 10:42pm
Cult centres require the Expanded Family Trees mod (read description for more details). Load this mod on top of it, a new save game is required.
kappa 22 Apr @ 9:46pm
I'm getting the grand temple of arinna in hattusa still. What am I doing wrong?
BrotherBoot 14 Apr @ 12:23pm
Yahweh!
Amulet of Kings  [author] 13 Apr @ 10:25am
Yes, it is compatible with Radious. If you also want to use the Expanded Family Trees sister mod, you should also use the Radious compatibility submod .
なんであね 13 Apr @ 8:20am
It commpatiblity with radious?
Kingmaker 9 Apr @ 12:37am
Yes, syncretism is fascinating. Cybele was paired not only with Rhea, but also Demeter, Aphrodite, Artemis. Whatever goddess the Hellenic peoples needed her to be. I think having access to Aphrodite will allow the Assuwans to replicate this sort of fertility goddess worship.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 9 Apr @ 12:07am
I didn't know about this. Wikipedia states that "the site was a local cult centre based around a local fertility goddess since at least the 7th century BC", about 500 years after the events of the game.

On a side note, I didn't know that Cybele was also identified with Aphrodite and Artemis. She is most often identified with Rhea, and sometimes with Demeter. I am currently reading the Dionysiaca, where Cybele is used interchangeably with Rhea.
Kingmaker 8 Apr @ 7:57pm
In addition to Cyprus and Cythera, she had a major shrine in Caria in the city of Ninoe, which is in Assuwa in the game. Her worship was so strongly centered there that it was renamed Aphrodisias later on in the Hellenistic period. Of course she was most definitely syncretized with Cybele/Kuvava, who was the Phrygian goddess, but as that incarnation is only available to the Sea Peoples in the game, it makes sense to have the Greek version in Assuwa.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 7 Apr @ 11:58pm
I decided the gods' homelands based on their historical cult centers and geographic associations. For Aphrodite, I chose the islands of Cythera and Cyprus as her homelands, she is often called Cythereia and Cypris/Paphia in literature. It's true that she sided with Troy in the Trojan war, but that doesn't make her a patron of the city. The ruins of the city suggest the worship of the gods Apollo, Athena, and possibly Zeus. If you find evidence of worship to Aphrodite in Troy, Dardania, Mount Ida, etc. I will be happy to add her to Assuwa.
Kingmaker 7 Apr @ 1:19pm
Could you make Assuwa one of Aphrodite's homelands? Even if you have to move her out of Achaea? She was one of Troy's patrons and it doesn't make sense for Aeneas to be running around saying "Son of Aphrodite" if you have to go all the way to Yamhad to find her. My preference would just be to add her to Assuwa.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 5 Apr @ 3:57am
Thanks for the report, it should be working now. I have tweaked the bonus for higher worship levels, they now provide +1 victory points regardless of the level.
ferragus_ares 4 Apr @ 5:37pm
Hello! VP from ANU is not working. And I am playing only with your mod, not any combined. :)
Amulet of Kings  [author] 3 Apr @ 9:57am
You are welcome! :steammocking:
Zög 3 Apr @ 8:47am
thank u man, awesome mod btw! I greatly appreciate what u modders do to these games, definitely wouldnt play as much without ur mods :steamhappy:
Amulet of Kings  [author] 3 Apr @ 8:22am
Ok, I have rebalanced Yahweh's recruitment bonus to equate it to other vanilla game effects. Now it should give a maximum bonus of +16 in a province with 4 shrines. I didn't notice this because shrines usually give regionwide bonuses instead of provincewide.
Zög 3 Apr @ 5:06am
well if a god gives a good bonus on recruitment, stacking those is pretty good in the same province. i tried to buff up my javelins to the max.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 2 Apr @ 11:05pm
Ok, that must be the problem. I can't tell if this is a design flaw or an exploit. Why would you build more than one shrine to the same god in a province?
Zög 2 Apr @ 5:34am
yahwen and some other god but yahwen seems rly op if u have 3 or 4 shrines in a single province. gives like +50 melee attack on recruitment.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 1 Apr @ 9:28am
The mod does not specifically modify Aten. Which gods did you combine to initiate his cult?
Zög 1 Apr @ 7:30am
with aten got 95 melee attack on my units is that normal? seems kinda broken
Amulet of Kings  [author] 2 Mar @ 3:28pm
I have uploaded a minor mod update. Changelog:
-Fixed some text entries
-Added the cult center icon to custom cult centers
-Grand Temples now grant +2 victory points
Jordan 19 Feb @ 4:41am
Very Nice...the only thing missing for me is a deity that increases the range of archers on recruitment
Amulet of Kings  [author] 16 Feb @ 6:37am
There are no plans to add new pantheons to the mod :steamsad:
Minke 16 Feb @ 5:56am
Hey, this is a very cool mod, just wondering if you have any plans to include the unrepresented pantheons like the Thracians or the Phrygians?
Enho Sakamoto 14 Feb @ 9:56pm
You fixed it! Thank you very much awesome mod :D
Amulet of Kings  [author] 14 Feb @ 2:46am
That's a bug, it should lower the morale of enemy units :steamfacepalm:. I have updated the mod to fix it.
Enho Sakamoto 14 Feb @ 12:53am
The only thing I don't like is that Anat gives a HUGE moral penalty! I want to worship her among Yahweh but there will be no purpose in using her shrines
Amulet of Kings  [author] 5 Feb @ 8:27am
It's been a while since I researched the gods' worship locations. In my notes, I have the following locations for Yamm worship: Ugarit and Amorites people. Mari, Andarig, Babylon and Eshnunna were Amorite states, so this must be the reason why I included his worship in Mesopotamia.
Thank you for the mod, it's great.

I quickly glanced along the map after loading up the mod, and I noticed that Yamm is available in Mesopotamia. Since you seem pretty knowledgeable on the subject, I was curious if there was historical data suggesting that he was worshiped there?
Kentathor 22 Jan @ 9:31am
Too bad it isn't compatible with the higher tides mod. I'm guessing that's what causes crashes for some other people. Will be using this instead. Great work on the mod.
Amulet of Kings  [author] 6 Jan @ 10:30am
It's working fine on my side, there haven't been any recent game or mod updates. Are you using any other mod? Which faction are you playing as? Does it also happen in a new campaign?
Eren Jeager 6 Jan @ 10:01am
i get crashes everytime i skip the turn for some reason
SteelToaster 30 Dec, 2024 @ 3:13pm
Was completely mistaken, disregard previous comment, great mod thank you!
SteelToaster 30 Dec, 2024 @ 11:13am
For some reason this mod, at least when paired with Radious, causes a glitch where dozens of minor settlements are marked as the "Civilization pillar" cities, like Troy or Mycenae, and highlighted with the glowing rings. It's not game breaking as far as I can tell, but rather just something that's mildly immersion breaking, great mod all around, just a small error I noticed
White Male 17 Dec, 2024 @ 1:39pm
@Il-Khan of Persia - Most sources would depict the life of Moses taking place around 1440 bce, and by that time it was already an orally tradition based religion.
