A reminder, everyone, you can't select Continue from main menu and expect your newly installed and enabled mod to be in the save file already. PZ does not re-initialize mods for previously created save files. You MUST click Load and then Choose Mods for that individual save file. Enabling a mod from the main menu only affects new save files.

AFAIK, it is 100% safe to enable this mod on previously created save files, but you must follow the steps above. Don't waste the author's time.

Sadly I'm currently not able to do any deep dive into debugging or enhancing this mod. A quick test didn't brought any errors and the menu option was still available for me, which mean I would need to invest much more time than I have, to figure out why some aren't getting the option.

As of right now the mod does not work and the last update was in January, I don't think this mod is getting an update anytime soon.

i have an odd bug where if i try to pick up a corpse the game will freeze and then crash but with this i can pick up corpses just fine i think its the animation that is bugged for me

the corpses weigh 20 lbs so we cannot fit into trash can or throw out windows, please add these features as they are greatly needed

my damn character wont throw the corpses out of windows or over railings, just dropping them infront. Sometimes the corpses lie in a spot where i cant pick them up anymore because the walls are too close. Can you please add an option to the context menu to throw the damn corpses out of the window and over railings? I really dont have time to drag all the corpses of bateman tower into an elevator and then outside.

Thank you for making this. I lost a favorite character not too long and made a new one to go back, get the body and put her to rest. I was shocked to find you couldn't put bodies in trunks or any of that anymore.

Unrelated to your mod specifically, but in your third photo here, what mod are you using to give yourself an equipment panel in your inventory?? I'm really intrigued by it!!

Oh and sorry to be needy but one more request/suggestion, perhaps a hotkey to pick up and drop corpses? Reason I ask: I slaughtered ~200+ zombies at a military checkpoint, used another mod (gather floor items & corpses) which put them all in one big pile... and the game made most body containers inaccessible. I think you describe it above as disappearance. I'm manually going through the context menu picking up and dropping bodies trying to get to the loot :steamfacepalm:

@Meyar It would be possible but currently is implemented as it was in b41, but I'll check in the coming days if I can add an option to the game settings or somewhere else to make a user choose.

Don't suppose it'd be possible to add a way to pick up multiple items at once without having to firebucket them into large storage containers before picking up the next?

@Toto I know but sadly there isn't much I can do about it. To make grappling keep working and prevent zombies from disappearing after dropping them they have to be reanimated. There are only two ways to reanimate a zombie, the one way makes them disappear the other makes the scare sfx. I guess the best hope is waiting for the devs to reimplement it the right way.

bien cuando aya tiempo lo are de acuerdo me dice la ruta donde esta ese archivo por que nunca me lo han pedido cuando reporte el fallo de un mod para ayudar

@hades-84 ordum mundus glorimus I just can say that if you want help I would need the log file and could check them. Other mods are most likely to to cause the problem in combination. But I can't be for sure. I don't mind checking the logs for errors.

@TnT4u I wasn't able to reproduce this error. It's also not a function I use, though it could be inside a function so still possible. If possible please open a discussion with more part of the error log and a description in what situation it happened. Also maybe if it still happens with only this mod enabled or only in combination with another mod.

@ SyBozz This is causing the game to hard crash after the update. I'm getting this error, idk if its helpful or not.

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: 'void zombie.scripting.objects.Item.setCanSpawnAsLoot(boolean)' at ItemPickerJava.ExtractContainersFromLua(ItemPickerJava.java:619).

@Tarrax Ironwolf Yes, this is sadly a side effect of the workaround to make grappeling keep working. A corpse has to be reanimate after being dropped, ideally it gets reanimated and killed fast enough to not jump scare, but sometimes it takes a few tick/frames more and then the jump scare sfx is played.
I did not find another working method to prevent it from sometimes happening.

Anyone else experiencing after dropping their corpse they get the 'Jump scare SFX' followed by the corpse spurting blood and the characters 'panic' jumps up to 30?

@ManI'mDead yes it can be added safely to any save and be removed. Only when removing should one make sure that no corpse remains in any container as pulling them out without this mod makes them invisible when grappling. And a restart is needed for the corpse to reappear.

Could you create a new save with only this mod and try picking up a corpse. Then check if weight got added to your inventory and maybe upload the logs and send the link to me?

What exactly happens is - I pick up the body, but there's no icon in inventory or on hands slot, still - i can only drag em, or just drop on ground

Can you explain what exactly happens. Does the option show when you right click on the corps, what happens if you click it. Does the corps gets removed? Does your carry weight change? Maybe you could look through your logs or upload them?

@Цикута I never used the Tetris inventory mod, only the Tarkov character view. The corpse should show up as equip in your hands but when I find some time I'll check out the Tetris mod and see if there are things I can do.

@Alpha Gamer that's right it's just added and did not replace the new dragging animation. So you can pick the corpse up transport it to some place put it down and use the drag animation again. I did not enforce any limitations but you could just use the pickup to put it into the trunk or seat of a car and then have to use the dragging again if you want, or just carry it around all day. It's up to the player.

I wanted to bring one of my ai survivors bodies home to give them a proper burial and found i couldn't now i can thanks for this. Im assuming you can still do the drag animation as well and it isnt replaced with the old way of putting a human corpse in your pocket like before

Here's a thought. What if you made it so you put the corpses into a bodybag that you can pick up?

I figured out that what ever causes the invisibility and then disappearance of the corpse is not in the lua code but in the compiled java code, so I have to invest more time and decompile it.
It also happens if I add a corpse to my inventory with the cheat menu in debug mode.

But I wouldn't make any promises, especially since it's an unstable branch with updates from the devs hopefully regularly.
