@dealon, its so sad that this magnificent map is abandoned now, i hope somebody will continue your deed. I wish you success in your endeavors and that you have more free time for modding.

As I mentioned before, due to a lack of time, I'm forced to abandon work on the mod. I simply have too much on my plate. But I have good news for some of you. I'm making the map files available. You can download them, edit them for yourselves or for others. Basically, do whatever you want with them.

To work with the map, you'll need at least some basic knowledge of Unreal Engine, a downloaded devkit, and, of course, willingness.

I'm having issues spawning NPCs into the map. Whenever I try to spawn an NPC into the map, CE crashes and I get a fatal error...code 80 I believe? Anybody else having this issue?
Beautiful map. Really hope this mod doesn't disappear with no updates.

Personally I like seeing a map mob getting updates. It shows it will be kept up with current patches and not be abandoned like so many others.

Currently, the abundance of work and commitments means I don't have time to work on the mod – so for now, no new content will be appearing, but that doesn't mean I've abandoned the project. It's patiently waiting for its turn

Does anybody know if there's an option to stop this mod's updates? I like the map as it is and I'd really like to keep this version before the NPCs are added.

Perhaps this has already been mentioned. I play solo. I usually have a number of popular maps in my load order (e.g. Savage Wilds, Empire of Stygia) and have a solo character on each. I tried to add this map. Seemed to work fine, but ... when I returned to my Exiled Lands save, some of the tall rock towers in the landscape were black (such as at the north side of the Broken Bridge at the start) and appeared to be missing textures. This happens even if I sort this mod very first in my load order (i.e. overwritten by everything else). So it seems to be clobbering a vanilla asset nobody else in my load order touches. When I remove this mod, the rock texture reverts to normal. Just FYI. Otherwise this mod is looking good.

@saph0704 A lot of things like post-process settings come from the original map, but many elements are still missing. It’s hard for me to say how the combination of these mods will behave - the best approach is to test it yourself, and just as well, you can share the results.

@lorienbg Hey, I’m currently in the process of creating a winter biome with a volcano - it’ll probably take a bit of time, but eventually such an island will appear on the map.

Ice is currently on a small ice floe (it will melt once the winter island is added), and meteors are also present, they fall near the savannah.

And yes, ultimately I want every biome to be represented on the map.

@dealon, and what about island, home of asgards and nordheimers - snow biome with mountains, extreme to survival, extreme low temperature, snow and ice, mammots, sabertooths, wolves, black ice and asteroides with starmetal. The idea is in whole map to have multiple islands, every island with different biome.

Where can I find the Dungeon Hub?
Dungeon Hub is a place for admins who can build their own dungeons or other underground structures, which they can later make available to their players.
We can easily teleport to this location by pasting the following into the console:

@Horsti Hey, regarding Pippi, I don’t really know how to help, as this mod hasn’t been supported for a long time. I recommend the ToT! mods instead!

In general, everything is planned, but there’s a lot of work and it takes time. With each content update, there will be more. As for portals, I also suggest setting them up yourself using the available tools, or relying on admins if you plan to play on a larger server.

@Wizard Hey, thanks a lot :) There are no recipes yet - both they and NPCs will appear gradually. Feel free to join the Discord, where you’ll find instructions on how to install the mod, for example for GPortal.

The rooms that you can enter in the fortresses have not yet been worked out. It would also be nice if there were more books to learn from.

Due to the long distances you have to cover, perhaps portals (like the obelisks in Conan Exiles or affordable ports like in the Savage Wilds map) would be an idea to shorten the distances. Or just the ability to cast spells for the Kurak teleportation mod.

Overall, however, I'm curious to see what changes will be made to this game world to make the gameplay more exciting.

The game world is endless. Perhaps the map could have been made a little smaller. The paths, some of which you have to take on land as well as in the sea, are very long. During my discovery tour so far, I have found fortresses and individual buildings, all of which have been lovingly designed, but which do not yet contain any human NPCs with whom you can either trade (as in Conan Exiles in Sepa Meru) or who you can overpower, i.e. kill and loot.

Some areas also lack shrubs and animals to produce food. The seabeds lack aquatic plants, oysters and other things to make them more visually appealing.

Hey! Currently, there are no map markers, and there won’t be any. You can use a mod like ToT! to build the world the way you need it. Right now, there’s one dungeon available - the Sewers. Feel free to join the Discord to stay up to date.

Animal and boss NPC spawns are being added with each update, it's a very large area, and more islands will be added over time. As for human NPCs, I plan to add them at a later stage. Quests are not something I’m planning to include, at least for now.

Hey,
I think you can safely build a raft and sail between the islands – we recommend the Ships of Exile mod (it’s also available on our server).

If you sail too far, you’ll start taking damage with the message “Unstable Waters” – so you’ll need to turn back to survive.

In the future, I’ll be adding more NPCs, but for now I’m focusing on the map itself.

As for the weather – I’m not sure, you’ll need to test that yourself.
