@Zenarchist When you travel to another server while carrying a photo from your treasure mod, the mod doesn't remember whether the photo was read or not, and so it can be recycled over and over using the map link. Can you suggest a fix for this?

ok so the mod seems to have broke the item used for the travel to other servers does not give the prompt to select another server everything else appears to be working but the prompt does not showup

first a temp fix was, kill the player and fresh after spawn he could travel - but this stopped working after a few times. I personally have no errors when traveling. Dont know if its MapLink or your Sleepmod

Hi Zen. I would like to know if the problem of transferring diseases from TerjeMedicine has been fixed? Since in previous versions, when switching between maps, all diseases were reset. And could you also adapt the mod with his TerjeStartScreen mod?
When switching to another map, just a dark screen with the inscription loading.
Could you contact Terje and discuss this, he is a sociable person and it would be great if you find a solution to these problems.

i noticed that if i travel to sakhal and log out there, then restart the game connecting to the main server it properly redirects me to sakhal but then crashes on load, only way to escape that is to delete my player table in the mongodb. am i doing something wrong?

Also since updating to this new version with the chat menu, I've been having issues with my ESC button not opening the Pause Menu and sometimes game audio stops working. Anyone else?

If I revert back to the version of MapLink from 13/05/2025 then it all works as normal.
My mod list is extensive but it's definitely MapLink related. Wondering what could have changed so I can work out a patch.

Hey guys, first of all this isn't my mod I just spent hours figuring out how to run it and re-uploaded it and fixed any error logs.

It is 100% the same as the original but with any bad code references fixed. You will need to run the same modlist on all servers to get the transfer to work properly (the game just forces the player to "switch" servers, so whatever mods they have loaded is what will be loaded when the new server is connected to) - the game must load all the mods when it boots up. It can't load mods it wasn't started with.

I have no idea how to get this to work with modded maps, I only use it with vanilla maps. I'll keep tabs on the comments and see what I can do to add bugfixes but this is not my mod so I'm not really 100% sure how everything works tbh.

@stk2008 hey thanks for your help I had a look and you are correct my service provider does indeed block 443 DOH lol

So I have changed the port on the API manager and forwarded it and so on but where else do I need to change that port for the server to find it? At the moment it is not connecting when booting the server and although the server is running I'm getting this crash report:

I know some service providers block port 443 for every thing.
Try changing it to some thing else 663? ETC

has anyone managed to switch between deerisle and alteria at all, i have them linked both sides all showing but when changing server it asked for the required addon for the map change, how can i fix this please

@Zeuzy I think you need to open 443 on firewall and router for people outside the network to be able to use maplink.

I am having a different problem however which I hope someone can help with. I have set everything up on my local server and MongoDB and everything works fine for me but if someone not on my network joins they do not get the scroll option when looking at the item. Other then the menu option it is working for him, if he leaves the first server and joins the second it knows to put him in the server he logged out from. I also checked the database and everything is being written in there for him, he simply just doesn't get the scroll option. Please help :)

@f00 It took me a while to work this one out and hopefully this will resolve the problem your having. It is actually because the Universal API mod is included within this mod so you don't need both which is why you are getting the version error. just remove it and it should work fine. I just checked and the ML Beta mod does not have it included.

Does any one know how to get time to be synced between servers?

Server one is 2/1/2025 @ 14:00
Server two is 1/1/2025 @8:00

Server one is where players will start but upon going to server two it just uses the date set in init.c ETC.

I have removed the lines that reset time and date in init.c but still wont drag the date and time from server one when travelling.

no. my problem is that if I try and join it says the server has a newer version of the mod than the client. not the same problem as you. funny thing is I did the following

1. installed the mod on the server
2. removed the old mod (ml beta) from the server
3. changed the mods on the startup
4. started the server
5. uninstalled ML beta from the client
6. installed ML Hive on the client
7. tried to join.

due to the fact that a large portion of this release is code refactoring and the config and all directories are the same there was no need to change the config.

So I've found that after changing maps, it glitch's and sets your STAT_PLAYTIME to -2 and because of this, stops updating the player (STAT_PLAYTIME needs to be higher than 60 for saving to work)
I've gone through and replaced all of the bools that involve STAT_PLAYTIME to either true or false depending on if they were more than or less than bools and this has fixed the issue for now.
Anyone experiencing the same issue, I can send you the modified file.

Anyone experiencing no new updates for some players when they travel between maps? I have it setup in the cargo bay of a Plane and when some players log out after travelling to another map, they'll be rolled back to where they spawned inside the cargo plane as if they just transferred map. Only way to fix it that I've found is reset the player

The easiest way ist to copy the mod list from one to the other. an exact copy. also make sure the mods are actually installed. ;)

@f00 yeah i tried adding to the modlist but get a pbo error saying im missing stag industries or something. ive been to both servers and both maplinks are there showing deerisle and alteria but when going travelling to alteria im missing the alteria pbo and vise versa when trying to go to deerisle.

Any chance you could help me in DC please?

I had the ml beta running on deer isle a while back. not this version though. and alteria is also being loaded on the deer isle map? deer isle also needs to be in the mod list for the alteria server.
