I like it. Very low key and fitting. Good work

The gradient has nothing to do with the bluriness it’s just simply bad texture work, gradients are just an extra layer over the texture with its opacity setting being multiply

Thank you so much for the information and feedback everyone :heart13:

Yeah albedo tinting really helps in fleshing out the metal. You can also use the alpha layer to make the metal texture pop a lil bit more.

Gradient patterns usually have a gradient texture with color squares and lines and then a main texture that has all the noise and details that is multiplied with the specific color. If the base you're using doesn't have that you really shoulda used a different one. Id suggest necromanced cus metal gradient doesnt work without albedo tint

The gradient idea is cool but it looks so blurry and not like metal at all. It doesn't really look like gold either for one of them. I think if it looked more like Brass that would be cooler.

theres a lot of ppl who dont even make war paints who could tell u this

macaw masked has a gradient but its not one big solid blob, theres an actual base texture
Real Reality (Real) 26 May @ 5:01pm
thats not how gradients work sam

@ImAware I think it is a gradient, I cannot control it since it only takes a solid color and places it there.
ImAware 26 May @ 1:12pm
The holdy bit gradients look blurry im ngl, i think you shoulda added some more noise or a pattern

Real is right, the muzzle part is a gradient an must all have the same alpha unfortunately, but regardless thanks for the feedback!

Vivi the gold isn’t a separate texture, it’s just a possibility of the gradient, so all colors need to have the same alpha channel, and this base has no albedo tint so it wouldn’t shine
vivi [[FREEDOM]] 25 May @ 8:24pm
almost perfect, id just increase the lightness on the Alpha Channel for gold so it shines, bc rn it looks a lil much like bronze, otherwise i think it looks great!

No you didn’t I said something and u didn’t respond

Real, we discussed this in the server, it is fine.

maybe you could do something cool with the primary on the layer mask/alpha channel? seems like a missed opportunity to me
