np your maps are just so fun to use in all out warfare and to explore
[SRRP]T/Sgt.Enfisk  [author] 16 Jul @ 8:34am
@balancer565 Thank you for saying that!

@Z@Warrior Thanks for creating Liberation using Drakovac. I'll pin a post with a link to it

@Tahs9n Yeap it should work just fine. It's just that no one has created an Antistasi mission or forked an update to the official Antistasi yet.

I really like your maps!:health:

@NikkoJT Thanks for reporting the floating truck, fixed in the next update.
I agree with you about the satellite image from distance looking okay but not the best. I've tried my best with all kinds of different images and the few tricks I know of with the config of the terrain-blending but I'm never going to achieve what BI has done with Livonia and other maps.
NikkoJT 15 Jul @ 7:19am
At [3734.83,8514.64,0] there is a truck wreck which is partially floating. The wreck model also looks stretched in a weird way.

The map looks nice overall. I think there's something off about the long-distance ground texture though. It looks very...smooth. I know the long-distance ground textures have never exactly been a strong point for Arma, but if you compare Drakovac and, say, Livonia, the difference is quite clear. It almost feels like Drakovac uses a coloured bump map for its long-distance texture, rather than a photorealistic texture. I dunno, easy to see but hard to describe.

This is a great map, love the detail. Looking forward to putting some hours into playing it. Thanks for sharing.

No worries! And I figured the airfield in the woods is a bit tight for AI. Thanks for even putting the strips in, I know it's a royal pain to configure.
[SRRP]T/Sgt.Enfisk  [author] 14 Jul @ 4:24pm
@FORGE705 Thanks for taking the time to properly test this. I have to admit, I added the airports for players and mostly aesthetic reasons due to limited experience configuring/building proper airports.

I've re-tested with Gryphon, Buzzard and the A10 and it's now (for me atleast..) with terrain version 151, working for AI jets to taxi, take off and land again at the 2 major airports.

The airfield in the woods outside of Gospodarsko Bay is going to be a 'player only' airfield. It would take too much of terraforming and rebuilding the woods/cliffs to make this work properly with AI.
FORGE705 14 Jul @ 3:04pm
I've tested the newly configured runways and here are my findings:

The Istrana Airport has no issues with takeoff (in my limited AI testing) but almost every aircraft fails to land. They crash into the water about 100 meters short of the shore.

Same issue with the woodland runway at Gospodarsko Bay. Takeoff is fine, landing puts the AI into the trees. Though they aren't landing short this time, instead I think the woods needs a little more of a trim. (OR flipping the runway 180 degrees would let the AI land from the bay-side. Which they could handle. I think.)

And same story for the Unije Airport. Landing is short, takeoff appears to be fine. Either trimming trees or swapping the approach direction for landing should fix.

This was all (hastily) tested on vanilla with no mods. Using the Gryphon and Buzzard.

@::XANDY::
There are a few patches in the north west corner that was supposed to be towns or industrial sites, but they haven't been built yet. I might revisit those areas and build something there.

@mason92601 Yea you are absolutely right, it was added for an operation. A second large airfield was needed somewhere and an island was the quickest way to do this. It's based on an airport outside of Genoa in Italy, transformed as an island. I thought it looked cool in the end so it was kept in for the release of the terrain.
::XANDY:: 13 Jul @ 7:10pm
i have a question about the map, is this still not 100% complete ?
i like the map a lot it just seems some spots werent finished yet. im just wondering if i should look forward for future updates
mason92601 13 Jul @ 6:50pm
just a question, love the map but why put an airbase on it's own island? This isn't criticism or anything I was just wondering as it seems like a logistical nightmare for the operations of an airbase. I was wondering if there was a reason for that for a mission this was made for or something like that.
[SRRP]T/Sgt.Enfisk  [author] 13 Jul @ 5:23pm
@G.I. Joe Thanks for checking out the map. I'm somewhat limited in what the terrain can use without adding dependency to DLCs or mods.
@Denios We've done multiple playtests on dedicated server with ~20 players and 100-120 AI with smooth FPS. I've added a new image showing a heatmap of the terrain, this should give you an indication of what areas of the map might be more or less heavy on the performance
G.I. Joe 13 Jul @ 4:41pm
Why no livonia forest ambience (deer, etc.) :c
Denios 13 Jul @ 3:20pm
At first glance, it's a great map in terms of content quality. It remains to be seen how heavily the server will be loaded by this card.
Thank you for your work, desire, interest and further development of the map! We believe in you!
Dub 13 Jul @ 2:18pm
Awesome work, perfect for naval/amphibious operations.

@FORGE705 Updated the config to draw airport-overlay for players and AI.
@Zhasik Fixed the reported issues with objects.

The meticulous level of detail in your map is awesome as usual, comparable to BI's in many ways! Would love to see you work on a major city like Georgetown one day with just how great all your maps have been :D
[SRRP]T/Sgt.Enfisk  [author] 12 Jul @ 4:34pm
@FORGE705 Oh right, I knew I forgot something! I'll fix it in the next update
FORGE705 12 Jul @ 4:25pm
This map is amazingly crafted! My only complaint is the lack of programmed runways for the AI to take off and land at.
