I got one question: How did you manage to create an asset of this size in the editor? Haven't found the option to increase the size of the buildable area so far and I have some ideas on new district layouts myself.
Yeah, to be true it remains to be a bit buggy when it comes down to overlapping roads. I had to slightly modify the asset, but that wasn't too hard.
Thanks again!
i really like how much time it saves me that i would have spent min\maxing things till i got it as efficient as this.
You should send a bug request to the developers. It was built with the ingame editor. Maybe its because it was made with the early versions, no idea. Sorry :(
Yeah sure
I love the attempt though.
It seems that it might, maybe, possibly, be something to do with placing it, then deleting it, then placing it again. Sometimes when I delete one, some fillable street squares stay behind, but with no street attached, and they cannot be removed.
once you connect grids you will find that there are roads crossing each other without intersecting. This leads to the problem observed earlier. You have to manually demolish and re-build some roads and make sure they are connected and form intersections
DO NOT connect templates
Thanks for the reply. I understand.
The cost is about 30,000 with downgraded roads, so works fine for my startout though.
Also you might want to post a warning about the ingame bug might cause hidden roads when using an assert this big. I too have experienced it when using the assert.
While it is not the fault of you (even selfmade big assert do the same), you can warn people to be carefull and watchfull so they can delete the roads after placement and stop blaming you for "destroying" thier cities lol :P
Thanks anyway :)
This isn't made for starting out, it was never designed for that. If someone wants that, thats why I made another smaller version. This one here is BIG and it costs alot. It has those roads for a reason. I rather just have this one and people can load it in asset editor and change it to their own preferences instead of me flooding the workshop with the same item slightly modified just to fulfill everybody's wishes. Everybody feel free to recreate and/or modify this pattern.
I like the pattern and all, but your use of higher milestone roads, makes it unusable when starting out and planning a city. I have used the Assert Tool with the Extended Roads Mod, to downgrade the roads without changing the layout. Plus it is very easy to upgrade the roads back when you read the milestone needed. I wont steal your work and upload the asserts, but maybe if you have time you should think about doing it :)
If not, atleast people have small guide so they can use this as a workaround if they need it, feel free to add it to description, formulated in real english, if you like :P
@Thadian
If you want VFG-A, just follow the pattern the vanilla game offers when laying down road, thats pretty much it :P
