Here's a challenge. Someone should do Place Bonaventure, including the central train station underneath.
alexandertyrell2 7 Nov, 2022 @ 4:20pm
Nice asset.. but the south side is about 2 floors lower because the building is on a slope.
picarddrum 6 Mar, 2021 @ 2:46pm
Vraiment Cool, super beau travail

I wonder when will the Mary, Queen of the World, Cathedral be added into Cities Skylines. By the way, great skyscraper. I seen it before.

Koesj tabk you!
Koesj  [author] 18 Apr, 2019 @ 6:05am
Thanks! Search for Place Ville Marie in the workshop and you'll find crazyglueit's version of it. I hardly have the time to make new assets anymore but luckily that one is already available :)
Adri_Ghost007 18 Apr, 2019 @ 5:40am
WOW! I wasn't expecting that! Really cool!

But do you think you can do Place Ville Marie?
november 10 Oct, 2018 @ 4:19pm
o shit I'm lookin at this building right out my window lmao
thieflooter 14 Nov, 2017 @ 7:54am
thank you for putting the building height in description! some of us care :)
Koesj  [author] 13 Jul, 2016 @ 4:25am
Well it's got the river and way too many freeways! Other than that I wasn't particularly inspired by any real-life place :)
RTC 12 Jul, 2016 @ 7:48pm
Is that city in the background based on Montreal? :)
OUPS ! 17 Feb, 2016 @ 9:36am

Great job guy :D Top10 best Building on workshop for me <3
Koesj  [author] 26 Jan, 2016 @ 10:27am
Yeah to be fair I don't think the issue was on your side of the fence haha, hope it looks way better now!
George Abitbol - Bac+2 26 Jan, 2016 @ 10:09am
Now I think it's not a problem with my game but with the building. Don't know why some buildings get ugly at a short distance and some others looks fine. This difference is more visible with skycrapers (big ones). Some buildings from Colossal Order have the same problem. Maybe the author of the world trade center have the solution because this is one of the biggest skycraper and it looks really fine even if the camera is far away. One other thing to consider : I play with mod DYNAMIC RESOLUTION at 200% and it makes a huge difference : I mean poor textures get more visible with this resolution. Anyway, thanks a lot for your work ;)
Turjan 18 Jan, 2016 @ 3:46am
Thx for the update!
Koesj  [author] 17 Jan, 2016 @ 9:23am
jfc I know I'm stupid but the workshop is being a giant dickhole

anyway, a big update with a new lod and some retexturing should be up
Turjan 15 Jan, 2016 @ 5:24pm
Maybe the difference in our results is because of the Dynamic Resolution mod that I use. I can check that tomorrow.
Koesj  [author] 15 Jan, 2016 @ 5:19pm
Nevermind, it's not that the LOD texture on this asset toggles earlier than on others, it's just that it's absolute balls :steamfacepalm:
Koesj  [author] 15 Jan, 2016 @ 5:04pm
Yeah I'll do that. In the meantime I'm looking at replacing the LOD anyway since it's a first-time, not too fantastic effort.
Turjan 15 Jan, 2016 @ 5:02pm
Well, I have no idea. Maybe I can ask someone at Simtrop.
Koesj  [author] 15 Jan, 2016 @ 4:54pm
I can't replicate it :(
Turjan 15 Jan, 2016 @ 3:14pm
LOD toggler shifts the point when that LOD kicks in a bit further out:

Koesj  [author] 15 Jan, 2016 @ 2:23pm
That's really weird, as if the LOD texture overrides any calling up of the base model's one at that distance O_o

Can you force it to show the main texture through LOD toggler or something? I'm frankly stumped at what could be causing this.
Turjan 15 Jan, 2016 @ 12:06pm
I just took an image from my current building project:

Koesj  [author] 15 Jan, 2016 @ 3:52am
Dang, I'll check out what's going on then -_-
Turjan 15 Jan, 2016 @ 2:15am
For what it's worth, I have the same LOD issue with this building. Your other buildings (Two Prudential Plaza, Banhammer Regional Office) are fine.
Koesj  [author] 15 Nov, 2015 @ 1:53am
Ouch! That's just too bad!
George Abitbol - Bac+2 15 Nov, 2015 @ 12:57am
Effectively, there is a problem with my game and it prevents me from using a lot of nice buidings.... Don't know what to do.... I'm wondering if i am the only one with this problem...

Thanks a lot for your answer :)
Koesj  [author] 3 Nov, 2015 @ 12:39am
By the way, do notice that it's not only my asset having these issues in your screenshots, which leads me to suspect it's got more to do with how your game is run rather than anything particularly egregious going on with 1k De la Gau :)
Koesj  [author] 3 Nov, 2015 @ 12:37am
What you're seeing is the building's 'Level of Detail' (LOD) model & texture, IE the zoomed-out lower detail version. However, it doesn't look nearly as bad for me: http://i.imgur.com/FyejQfm.png (Texture Quality: High; LOD: Medium, 1080p resolution)

So I really don't know what's going on in your screenshot, something with your game's (LOD) and/or Texture Quality settings perhaps?

I do agree that the LOD is a bit messy though, but I couldn't get results with the game's built-in baker and getting the cage set-up right in 3ds Max was an awful job =/
George Abitbol - Bac+2 3 Nov, 2015 @ 12:01am
In game, the building is VERY UGLY just when you are a bit far from it. You can see here the REAL looking of this building (just at the left).

Koesj  [author] 16 Oct, 2015 @ 6:19pm
I limit the size of the texture file!
baronjutter 16 Oct, 2015 @ 5:22pm
How do you make such amazing looking towers with reasonable file sizes while so many can't seem to make a repeitive glass box come in under 10mb??
Brutalizer 9 Oct, 2015 @ 3:06pm
Splendide !
codcrazy1025 8 Oct, 2015 @ 3:08pm
good job keep up the good work and looking forword to your next builld :steamhappy::steamhappy:
rivest266 7 Oct, 2015 @ 3:32pm
I hope McCarthy do not sue. They rent out 8 floors of this building. Let's see Tour Dillote next.

Ok good job on the building man! I live right next to it in real life. I'm looking at it as I write this comment. Good job. It warmed my heart somehow. Thanks!
caryland 5 Oct, 2015 @ 5:12am
I'm in this building almost everyday, it looks great! Good work.
John Wayne 4 Oct, 2015 @ 8:33am
