Heal Thyself - Bedroll Replacement

Description
A bedroll replacement - that I think works the closest to the Bedroll in the second game. And no more dying in fire trying to heal right after a battle!

Important note #1 - only 1 mod can be active at a time in this game so if you aleady have an active mod, this won't work. If you want to work around this limitation, see my note at the bottom about the Nexus version for existing saves.

Important note #2 - this only works on new saves. See further below for a workaround version on Nexus.

I was inspired by BaardVaark's Fast Healing mod. I preferred the potion solution they used. Rather than some mods with the automatic use of healing spells after combat, this skill is a 100% heal skill for any ally within 15m that you can use anytime.

I used the Nurrid beer mug and the Deathknight skill book templates, so the book is reusable to learn the skill, and there are no requirements for it. It has almost no animations and seemed pretty good so far after a lot of trial and error. I also manually combined it with XC_Bags for a test and it didn't conflict at all, so far. So it doesn't seem to have trouble being combined with other mods.

The skillbook is included with your 2 main characters at the game's start, and it takes 25AP so isn't a cheese skill during battles.

I also added the skillbook to purchase from the Cyseal Mayor.

UPDATE APRIL 2025: For those asking about existing saves, I can't make the Steam version work but I do have a version on Nexus that should work:
https://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsinenhancededition/mods/23?tab=files

I have updated the instructions in that file to hopefully make it clearer. Instead of activating a mod, this is simply copy and pasting a folder to adjust a couple of main game files. This is great because you can also use a different mod then, as this version isn't an actual mod.

Hi all - sorry I haven't looked at this game in ages. But I will reply even if the questions may have been from awhile ago:

@Kjell - sorry, I don't know how to make it work with Zombie. I may take a look if I have some time but I am a very manual modder so am not great at some things.

@NeinDao and others - this game only allows one mod unfortunately. I just tested it myself with a fresh install as I got a new computer and it worked fine. The skillbook will be in your 2 main characters' inventory already. It can also be bought from the Mayor of Cyseal.

Updated notes in mod description above for existing game files.

Doesn't work, and I'm not using any other mods so it won't be a compatibility issue.

抱歉,mod似乎没有在老存档中生效,根据评论我可能会继续尝试等待市长补货。

i started a new game and thought i would find the skill during play. now several hours in and i dont have it. does it conflict with the "create 4 party members at start" mod? the mayor dont seem to sell it
