One thing I always wanted to do but never could bring myself to do is overhaul the Empire faction in the Royalty DLC. For such a mysterious, powerful entity in the political sphere of RimWorld, there is surprisingly little content around them. When I wanted to make a Royalty focused playthrough, I quickly realized it’s just a ‘normal playthrough’ with ‘royalty sprinkles’ - so not really what I wanted.

So I did what I do best and sat down with my trusty google docs to design a complete overhaul to the Empire faction that will finally allow you to feel like a proper imperial nobility. From intrigues and art exhibitions, to hunting down deserters and protecting from the acts of terrorism, with this mod you can really make an Empire-centric playthrough and make a play for the Imperial throne.

With new permits, structures, apparel, vassalage system, royal honors, Great Hierarchy and titles, this mod is a powerhouse for those wanting to roleplay as the Imperial family, but it will also work just as well for people who only want one or two nobles in their colony.

For obvious reasons this mod requires Royalty DLC.


















































































Using RuntimeGC or any mod that clears world pawns will result in the Great Hierarchy being broken. Use ‘Regenerate Great Hierarchy’ dev option if that happens.

Q: Does this mod add Deserter content? Can I fight the Empire?
A: No, this is VFE-Empire, not VFE-Deserters. Being hostile to the Empire makes 95% of the content in this mod disabled.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yeah! You can’t remove it after you add it though!

Q: It doesn’t make sense lore-wise that XYZ.
A: Ok, you do you.

Q: I don’t see the Royalty menu button at the bottom of my screen!
A: You need to join the Empire by gaining a titled pawn for the Great Hierarchy UI to become accessible.

Q: Is this mod compatible with Combat Extended?
A: Yeah!

Q: Does this mod work with Medieval playthroughs?
A: No, Royalty is an Ultratech faction.

This mod will insert assassins into the caravan. When the caravan is present, they are no different from ordinary people. As soon as the caravan leaves, they suddenly become hostile, launching surprise attacks on people with noble titles without any alarm. That's okay, but if the caravan is in your automatic artillery position and the assassin suddenly becomes hostile, the turret's bullets will hit other people, and the allied factions will become hostile directly,This aspect is not good

Ok the remove all honors button in the empire tab did what i wanted, i just had to have the honor on the active tab in order to remove it.

Deserter helmet in description has its faceplate removed and it has 67% vacuum resistance. Only 1% less than cataphract helmet.
For a helmet with a face fully exposed, it should have way less vacuum resistance.

Hey, did anyone test to see how this mod interacts with Gravships ? Like can I have a flying castle ? Or does it just not work ?

Is there a way to remove an earned honor? I got "wielder of weapon" but I'd like to swap to a different weapon and still be able to get that title again with the new weapon

I am posting this message across all of our mods because many people seem to have forgotten about it:

- We do not check comment sections for bug reports. There is simply too many mods and too many comments section to keep track of it.
- We are not looking into fixing bugs reported in the comment section. We have no way to do so. There is no logs, and no information viable for bug fixing.
- We only look into fixing and fix bugs reported using our Google Forms for bug reporting, and only if all the required logs are attached.

Does the starting imperial family origin give you a highmate after a while or does that only hapen on promotion to Baron?

Now that we have orbital platforms and asteroids, are there any plan to do Empire space stations or ships? Something like a space assassination can be done with the Deserters faction hahaha.
