I believe valve kept the network config with 0.1 interp as a one-size-fits-all solution for people who do not know about networking settings or ping, and who have a bad connection.

I believe this is supposed to aid those players have a smoother experience playing the game.

I'd rather have a more transparent option somewhere in the menu, where people can change that to whatever the most optimal config for them is, instead of having to mess with console commands and configs.
