Full guide to Dealing with Troublesome Monsters *SPOILERS*
If you're having trouble getting past a certain enemy I've written a basic guide here to give some insider knowledge on AI behaviour. I seriously discourage you from looking at this unless you are well and truly stuck, as it can ruin the experience and thrill of having to rediscover enemy behaviours.

CONSTRUCT
  • Key thing to remember is that his line of sight and FOV are greatly increased and he can see you from considerable distance. He can also easily see things that are elevated above him as well as through gaps in objects like shelves.
  • If spotted leg it straight away. Try to put obstacles between you and when hiding remember he will move to where he last saw you and look around.
  • If you can't figure out how to turn the steam off during the first encounter then just follow the pipes and you should see the valve.

FLESHERS
  • Fleshers are way more sensitive than they are in vanilla SOMA. You're given only a very small window of forgiveness when looking at them so the best practise is don't.
  • Listen for their footsteps and grunts. DO NOT STOP MOVING IN THE CORRIDOORS! If you collide with a Flesher it will kill you regardless of whether or not you are looking at it!
  • The flesher on the first level of the Curie rarely wanders into rooms unless investigating something. Try to stay out of the corridors.
  • Try and stay out of their way. Colliding with them will set them off.
  • TURN OFF YOUR FLASHLIGHT! They will instantly spot you if you shine it on them and they will investigate if they see the light from it.
  • When you release the ladder to the second story it creates a loud noise that the Flesher investigates. The best stratergy is to release the ladder then hide in a nearby room and wait for him to move off.

Proxies/Akers
  • Key point to remember is their superpower hearing. When moving be careful to not bump props around.
  • If one is very close to you try not to move as you still produce some noise when crouched. If you absolutely must try very slowing tapping W to inch away.
  • Remember Akers and his buddy can now get through the window if you break the glass in the Theta labs. It's better to try and unlock the door at security.
  • Akers and his offsider can be locked into rooms temporarily using the security terminal. It's recommended to do this to get at least one of them off your back for a while.
  • If spotted, it's very hard to get away if there isn't already considerable distance between you (especially with akers). The only way to really give yourself a chance is to try and close doors behind you to temporarily delay them (just don't accidentally shut it in your own face).
  • It's safe to keep your flashlight on for both Akers and the Proxies just remember its very loud when turning on and off.
  • It's very easy to got cornered by Akers and his proxy buddy. Sometimes they won't move off and your only hope is a mad dash past them.
  • Sometimes you have to go out of your way to circumvent Akers. As the AI is sort of hardcoded by the map to make him hang around near where you are it can become difficult to get around. Backtrack, lure him and his buddy away from where you need to go.
  • Fixing the elevator created a lot of noise. If either akers or his buddy are nearby you probably won't be able to fix it in one go.

ROBOT GIRL
  • Keep your flashlight off, she reacts to it shining on her.
  • Keep a close eye on her posture, only move when she is in the dormant stage, sobbing with her arms crossed.
  • Move VERY slowly. The moment you hear her react stop moving.
  • Watch out for props that will make noise if you hit them. If she's already restless then the slightest sound can set her off.
  • If she is angered, run and hide the moment she screams. If you put some distance between her and break line of sight she will loose you pretty quickly.
  • Once she's lost you, remember that she will wander around in search mode before going dormant again. Her sight and hearing are very good during this time.
  • If she has chased you there is a chance she might have moved to an inconvenient spot. Look for vents in the power room that you might be able to use in order to bypass her. Otherwise, try and get her to chase you again and lead her away.

JIN YOSHIDA
  • He is VERY fast and will blast around tau at almost full sprint meaning its very easy for him to catch you off guard.
  • He can both see and hear quite well. Stay crouched and keep the flashlight off.
  • Avoid looking at him as doing so for too long will reveal to him where you are.
  • If he does spot you he wont attack straight away but go into an 'aggressive mode' where he attempts to close the distance with you. If this happens MAINTAIN line of sight with him as it will cause him to pause and shudder every couple of seconds. Use this opportunity to back away, close some doors and hide.
  • If you're having trouble with the second encounter in the living area, remember you can use the terminal in dispatch to lock the door to the work area where he spawns trapping him.

DEEP SEA CREATURES
  • The viper and angler fish are slightly faster and much better at spotting you however they should still not be much more of an issue than they were in the vanilla games as long as you stay out of their way.
  • Couldn't make many changes to the big guy because most of what he does is scripted, but he does move slightly faster so you have to time moving between cover.

ooooookayyy, Robots were fine, Construct was fine, for the most part, flesher was annoying but Proxies and Akers.... I am currently there and were are scraping at the border between fun and challenging and ridiculous and frustrating
I suppose their walk speed is what tippes me over the edge
I'll try.But...it seems to me that it is not really possible to pass on INSANITY MODE
