- There seem to be a lot of scenarios where I end up offstage as a spark and can do nothing to recover, enough that it feels like I'm being punished for using the move at all. Getting hit out of the ground, jumping while in a puddle, I even got instantly teleported to the blast zone when I hit the edge of a platform on maypul's stage while I was a spark in a puddle.
- I don't think I've ever managed to hit bair, and I've hit dair once. They're both incredibly tiny or fiddly, not really readable from the animations, and not all that rewarding. Am I missing something? Sorry, I haven't checked munophone yet (no excuse I know).
- Fstrong is also smaller than it looks to a point that I'm using it in many, many incorrect situations. I'm not sure I can authoritatively speak to balance or anything, but this character feels like it really wants one or two bigger moves that just cover some space.
- Did you consider giving hose a little more range or utility or something? It's very rare that it feels worth the endlag compared to just jumping or wavedashing to spread some water.
I'm probably missing a lot, but those are the things that kept the character from clicking with me right away. I'll grind some so I can get the hang of it though, I'd love to give it a fair shake!
thanks for the feedback!
the spark issues definitely high on my priorities and i'm working on some changes rn.
bout the normals,
dair is meant to combo into uair which is pretty absurdly strong, which is why it's not that powerful by itself but i might have to adjust it a bit if it's too weak. and with bair, i'm actually not quite sure what i'm gonna have to do with it, since it seems to be his weakest move by far. also yeah i gotta buff fstrong by quite a bit.
also the hose idea is interesting. i might make it an additional movement option as well? i'll think on it.
there's a tentative rebalance to the water mechanics that I'm waiting to see TO opinions on.

unsure about uair though. I think it's fine balance wise given the startup?
Thank you! This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Testing bermaha out, she seems much more balanced with the water mechanics, though I'm no expert, so I don't know if it's perfect but I like it. I think the up air is good, since it does have quite the wind-up to go along with the power. Overall, it seems most of my problems have been fixed, thanks a bunch
