Every time I take Mechis III as the Republic the game crashes a few seconds after I win and the planet becomes mine. Happens after both normal land battle victory as well as auto-resolve.

What is wrong with this planet?

It has been reported several times by now about rare but repeatable crashes after a land victory on various different planets and also during space battles against lucrehulks, but not everyone seem to have those crashes, myself included so far. Hopfully those that have these crashes are able to provide save games for devs to analyze if asked :)

I had no issue with Mechis III, both defended and attacked successfully as republic against CIS and no crash ! Epic watching the 3x free merc IG-88 sniper platoons just massacre those hapless droids hehe.

My own personal suspicion about land crashes is that it is something with a unit being either bugged (the free mercenary units available in the big Mechis III base for example, on the right edge), or a unit that is not counted correctly by the game at end of battle.

If you remember the old and semi-rare bugs in e.g. AOTR where you got crashes after black sun took over (bribed) one of your units during land battle - same thing. Unit count was off at end of battle as a result.

Example - I seem to recall that south of the big base on Mechis III there are purple pirates sometimes, correct ? I.e a third faction and I noted that on the victory screen I get after a land battle as attacker against CIS that *sometimes* it will list more than 10 units destroyed which I think is not normal. Max units CIS can garrison on land is 10 but it may list sometimes 12 or so destroyed on the victory screen e.g. (obviously pirate) T-16 skyhoppers. So, this end tally I suspect sometimes include some pirate i.e. third faction units destroyed. I don't recall this happening in AOTR.

Well just a guess could be something else, hope they pinpoint the issues soon :)

For the space battles crashing when damage is done to lucrehulks (never had it myself and I destroyed lots of donuts) it could be something like a retreat script not working anymore after porting from AOTR, but let's see what they find out :)
