I eliminated all other mods, and when this is the only mod the problem returns. Moving the drivers to another garage cures the drivers, but any drivers at those two garages go on strike.
Game version: 1.37.1.74, last updated on 2020-06-07.
My truckin' business is thriving now, I can do without the mod. But it was quite vexing.
Hmm that is an odd problem, the value changed is an overall value, meaning if it's a problem it'll affect ALL garages, also, it's in the file by default, changing the value should make zero difference..
I'll check it out on mine, see what happens.. Thanks for the heads up.
I've reset the value to default, would you mind checking if it's ok now? You don't have to use it if you don't wish to, but I need to see if it's fixed the issue..
Thanks
I opened the console for curiosity, and there are still multiple reports of "Driver job generation failed", but subjectively fewer of them. And there's no practical problem, as no drivers are just stuck jobless at their home garage anymore. (One is occasionally red for resting, but every time I quicktravel now, everyone shuffles.)
To be honest, I don't know if a recent change made the difference for the worse, or not. I had not been back to play the game in a while, and I didn't notice right away. I have no idea how long it was going on.
But thanks for fixing it!!
Ok great, yeah they must have done something for it to mess up, as changing that setting should have not caused any problems, I'll leave it default, however, default means that drivers will find jobs less often, with my edit, they should have found jobs more regular.. But happy it's all fixed now.. Now I have to update them again, as 1.38b just hit >.<
TBH, the odds of a driver coming back empty, because the AI for your own drivers isn't smart enough to take an alternate job partway back towards home as a backup plan, is the primary reason I grabbed this mod! XD
Are those probabilities currently at core-game-defaults, or just not quite as tweaked as you'd wanted? I can't fathom why just two of my garages were misbehaving. Very weird.
Thanks again!
There's 2 settings:
Driver No Job Probability - default: 0.10 (10%) - My edit 0.03 (3%)
Driver Skilled Job Probability: default: 0.8 - My edit 1.5 (I took a guess, more=better)
So, there's less chance of a driver with no job, and should have been more chance of a skilled job, this is the one that broke somehow..
It's also odd, if it's just those 2 garages, and all the rest were fine..
Sometimes when they add new things, with new values, I have to take a guess, and it's either right, or wrong.. As there's zero documentation, a lot of these values, were trial & error, and a lot of time to figure out the best values.. To make it easier, but not overly cheaty..
Updating all my mods tonight..
