Description
Waypoint Abode (BA Class 1, Unlock Level 7)

Primary roles: Starter Base, Solar, Alpha 9.x under 7500 CPU, inexpensive, storage, farm

The Waypoint Abode is a starter base with alpha 9.x functions. It was designed to be inexpensive and semi roomy offering many features for the price. The construction materials used are concrete (outer walls), wood (floor and internal trim), and just a bit of carbon substrate (for alt texture usage in non critical places). It comes with a 36 grow plot farm, 2x320K storage, 3 Constructors, 2 fridges and 1 food processor, clone chamber, o2+station, 12 large solar panels, armor rack, WiFi, and ammo box. It also comes with 5 canon turrets offering 360 degree protection. This base requires no rare or semi rare resources such as even cobalt. It was also designed to use as little iron as possible.

Unique Features

Based loosely on my first starter base, the Sanctuary-ST, this base meant to address any issues the older base had. To start with it is near the same build time but uses far lass iron. A problem with the Sanctuary-ST is you could not park a HV on the landing pad area. This base addresses that using solar panels off the back as a ramp for HV's. Also placing this base partially over water on the ramp side allows you to place useful water and o2 equipment in the base area without having to exit the base. The back non interior area however does not have o2. A added a screen shot showing how this works.

Features Summary:

1. Inexpensive, Player unlock level 7
2. Concrete walls and roof, wood floor and trim
3. 2x320K storage + 2 cargo boxes
4. 3 Constructors, 2 Fridges, 1 food processor
5. 12 large solar panels + Capacitor
6. Clone chambers, WiFi, armor locker
7. Sensor based lights and doors
8. 36 grow plot farm
9. 5 canon turret defense + ammo box
10. Well under 7500 CPU
11. Allows HV and SV parking on landing pad
12. Partially over watch allows placement of water based equipment in a safe place

I hope you enjoy!

Note: The core is placed on the bottom of the base in the center on the ground. The base is lifted by 1 block allowing for easier placement on rough terrain. Make sure the ground feet are supported when placing however it should not be very difficult. The iron it does use is mostly the storage extensions for the 2X320K storage.

Thank you Drona! Good info! Thanks again!

FYI, the grow plots can be build in the survival constructor. I was able to build straight to this beautiful base after using only the SHM2 drill vehicle to collect all the resources. Great starter base. Thanks so much!

Thank you FrancoBam and ObertonSX! @ObertonSX, I will look into that. Thanks again!

try to build an underground bunker 2-3 floors down. Where the top of the base will be at ground level. And with machine guns and solar panels. For example, the 1st floor is a hangar for hv, 2nd plants and everything you need, the 3rd floor is technical. like this: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1267138296 or like: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1993133383 or like: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1909221467 or like: https://steamproxy-script.pipiskins.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1639902438

I think it would be good to leave them out as requirement and just let the space for them. It´s a little bit he same with the bigger ships. I usually do not need this high amount of grow plots in the game. But thanks anyway for your builds. I use them a lot in all my survival games, From MX1 up to the Peres. :)

Thanks FrancoBam. I didn't know that myself. I guess I have normally skipped the small constructors and just went with the large ones. But that is good to know. Thanks again!

Maybe I miss something. But you can not build the grow plots with the small constructor as far as I can see. So I need to build a base with a large constructor before I can get this in production. Hm...

@Inquisitor Firebrand, yeah you exactly correct. It is based on the Sanctuary-ST design. Trying to improve on it, this one has solar, 1 central farm, HV roof access, 2 additional turrets, alpha 9/10 storage, and an optional sea side placement to place equipment in the water with quick access. In the end the iron use went from 834 to 352 and that is mainly because of the new storage systems. (cargo extensions) and lost ~5 minutes of build time and includes the grow plots. The concrete HP's for the walls and ceiling are the same as steel used more on the sanctuary. So the goal was to improve on the design in every way. But this is a starter base that hopefully can last a while. The Waypoint Compound is an upgraded larger version with tougher materials and better defense, but also costs far more. Thanks again!

Thank you Inquisitor Firebrand, Jaguar1965, and Roywin. @Roywin, it is s starter base with under 1 hour build time and no rares. If it were built with stronger materials it would be much more expensive. Thanks again all.
