Remember Reach - Halo 3: ODST Firefight Pack

Description
A collection of Reach maps ported into Halo 3: ODST's firefight.



The maps Installation 04, Corvette, and Courtyard have been ported into ODST. These maps are compatible with ODST's full suite of custom game options and modes including Floodfight and map boons. Starting weapons have been replaced with a newly balanced Assault Rifle and Magnum. Power weapons drop from Longswords, and ammo for these weapons can now be found around the maps. The infinite ammo crate has been replaced with limited ammo weapon crates. And the mighty forklift returns.

Installation 04-

Power weapons: Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser

Hazards: Banshees, Covenant squad drop pods, Flood dispersal pods

-Cov Squad Pod spawns: Grunt Heavies, Brute Stalkers, Brute Ultras, Brute Jump-packs

-Flood Dispersal Pod spawns: Flood heavy

Boons: 4 ODST teammates, a Warthog with ODST gunner after every round

Corvette-

Power weapons: Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser

Hazards: Wraith, Engineers, Friendly Engineer in Floodfight (provides shields for the player)

Boons: 2 ODST teammates, Flamethrower, Shotgun

Courtyard-

Power weapons: Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Shotgun

Hazards: Covenant squad drop pods, Flood dispersal pods
-Cov Squad Pod spawns: Grunt Heavies x2, Brute Ultras, Brute Captain Ultras

-Flood Dispersal Pod spawns: Flood heavy

Boons: 6 marines, Spartan Laser, Flamethrower



Base game/general changes:

-New intro music track "We All Got Secrets" from ODST's mission "Data Hive".

-Enemies are marked with a waypoint when there's 5 remaining

-Power weapons are marked with waypoints at the start of a round

Weapons:

-Assault rifle: increased range and damage. Sound, screen shaking, and controller vibration adjusted for stronger feel.

-Magnum: increased range, damage, rate of fire. Added scope. Screen shaking and controller vibration adjusted for stronger feel.

-Brute Plasma Rifle: Stats match Halo 2. Vastly increased rate of fire and damage compared to base ODST.

-Plasma Pistol, Brute Plasma Rifle, Brute Spiker, Frag Grenade, and Needler have projectile lights.

Enemies:

-Brutes: New armor lights with an unused bitmap. New unused melee attack. Rate of fire and aggression with Brute Plasma Rifle matches Halo 2.

-Elites: Returning animations from Halo 2 (Berserk, Sword draw animations, correct rifle melee animation, h_ping, s_ping). More aggressive AI. Larger health and shield pools. New armor colors and shaders.

-Grunts: Can now use Wraith turrets

Map specific changes from Reach:

-Installation 04: Power weapon ammo added. New main weapon ammo location added. ODSTs only spawn with boons enabled and will not appear by default. Man cannon adjusted so enemies are more likely to use it. Phantoms are the dropship. Elite squad drop pods have been replaced with Brutes.

-Corvette: Power weapon ammo added. Waves will now randomly alternate between dropships and monster closets. Drones have a unique spawn from the center of the room, and all Drone waves will always be monster closet waves. Phantoms are the dropships. Shotgun and Flamethrower added as boons. 2 ODST followers added as boons. A friendly engineer will spawn with hazards enabled during Floodfight and will provide the player with shields. The engineer is unarmored and vulnerable.

-Courtyard: Power weapon ammo added. 3 pairs of marines spawn with boons enabled. A unique pelican drop off happens if all marines have been eliminated by the end of the round.

Crisp: The Foundry Blender extension greatly sped up the porting process

Krevil: The enemy remaining navpoint script

Undeadkiva: Inspiration for the adjustments to the Brutes

There's a couple of things I could try, it's all still a work in progress for sure. Lighting is unfortunately a time consuming process on Halo 3. More maps are planned, the entirety of the original Reach Firefight roster will be in. Certain multiplayer and campaign sections will also be made, and remixes of existing Reach maps in the Night style from ODST will also be in eventually.

It's mostly just the lighting in halo 3 like u said. Is there a way to fix it? Yes the gear thing is like not casting a shadow. It's a good mod, just wondering if you could tweak it. If you would add more maps too from Halo reach, that would be great. It's fun. Also have you seen the halo 3 combat evolved mod? Maybe you could mess with that and mix them together, cause then we could have like a kinda halo 1 fire fight. I'd like to get into modding myself, but I do not know how you learned it.
