Well I managed to make it through the dungeon and I think I missed a few things along the way. Anyway, I would like to thank you for a rather enjoyable mod. It was a good time. Thank you for creating it and sharing it with us.
I am so sorry - in 2018, my computer was destroyed, along with everything I had on it. I've lost the original files and all documentation. I don't even remember that much about the puzzles I put in place.
I've just discovered a bug in your dungeon that causes the game to crash. I found the "Aegis Fang"-dagger on level 9, but everytime I try to attack with it (right-click on it) the game crashes to the desktop.
If you give me an email adress, I can send you the error log file.
Are you sure you did ALL of the teleporters? 5 of them also have special items that you have to place in the right alcoves to open the 6th for the 6th shield. Each shield is placed in a single alcove (no particular order) around that room. Once all six are placed the door will open.
Try going through all of the teleporters again and really search. You'll definitely find all of the shields.
As for the secret:
Place the Sword of Gluttony in the first alcove - the one by the stairs. Place the Sword of Hunger in the last alcove - the one next to the wall text. That will activate the secret door.[/spoiler
On the wall it says "First comes glottony, then comes hunger" - I thought it meant that the sword of gluttony should go in the first slot and the hungering blade in the last slot, but what about the slots in between?
Please help!
Stand in the center - under the light - and throw a rock to the north and one to the west (up and left if you enter from the door)
Glad you're enjoying it!
Btw, I've really enjoyed your dungeon so far :)
There is a "secret" button on the east-facing wall in the entrance of the first room you come to, the room lit with blue light (not the room shooting at you, west of that). Search the walls carefully.
And what about all the altars, am I supposed to place something on them?
Anyways, thanks for the help!
I just have to point out that this game was developed by people who remembered the days of Eye of the Beholder, Dungeon Hack, Dungeon Master and the like. In those days you didn't have automapping or online guides to tell you where to go. I've tried to keep that philosophy; in fact some of my puzzles are translations from the Eye of the Beholder games. In that style of game you learned to take *everything* with you. You picked it all up. Every stone, every scroll, every weird item that you found. You never left anything behind; you never knew when it would come in handy.
I'm sorry that you've encountered some frustrating issues with being stuck because you missed an item but hopefully the next time through you remember to snag it!
At five of the 6 altars on level 8 there is an additional item, such as the Metal Heart, Talo's Eye, Sword of Hunger and so on. These are to be placed in the right alcove. That alcove requires Talo's Eye
We tried to remove the torches, place anything we've got into the wall, search any inch for a hidden button but we just cant figure out how to progres the level T_T

You're correct, there is no way back. It's easy as the developer to forget stuff like that since all I need to do is press Stop to return. I've added return teleporters. I've also changed the skeletons to respawn indefinitely if you kill them. That pit, however, in the teleporter room does indeed to go a real place where you can teleport back to level 7. Are you sure you updated to the latest version? I just went and confirmed every single pit on level 7 has a corresponding room & teleporter back.
FYI: you want to fall down at least ONE of those pits at some point. There is a big secret down there.
I'm updating it so that it isn't a hidden receptor but rather a visible one. Also I'm including a link to a screenshot of the level to make it easier to test: http://i.imgur.com/gbs2BMV.png
The first lever is in the alcove directly across from the healing diamond if you head right from the first time. Just follow the loop around; you'll see it. The second lever is at the very end of the long twisting hallway to the left - make sure you're watching your step carefully...it turns you around if you just rush through it. The blue gem is in that area...look for hidden switches near the turns.
This will be removed when I am done with the dungeon.
The gold and the ornate keys are behind the plate puzzle in the fourth floor. I'm adding to the note nearby that should help you solve it.
The ogre isn't the only thing in that room - there are some good rewards to help as the difficulty ramps up; I only planned on ten floors so I'm trying to level you quickly. I've switched the first ice lizards to skeletons instead. I've also reduced the food found. It's hard to gauge how much things are needed when you're designing it and not actually getting to play it through :)
I think you'll be pleased with 5 & 6 as you get to journey to them now that 4 should be more easily solved.
I gave up because im stuck, i cant find a key for the gold lock, cant get to the skelleton archers and if i fall dont the hole in front of them i cant get out. I also cant solve the button puzzle, how many rocks does it need? i tried every combo of 4 and 5 rocks with no luck. I did find the secret room... with an ogre. Interesting choice, find secret... get ogre?
So to sum up
*reduce the food
*add more variety
*increase difficulty
*smooth out difficulty curve
Good start to the mod, look forward to seeing the next version, hope this helps.
* WAY too much food, serioussly cut the quantity in 1/2. It was too much to carry and i was resting after every fight just to make my characters hungry to reduce weight.
* Potion mats, never used them as i was resting all the time, however hiding the mortar and pestle behind a 'bonus room' on lvl 2 is a bit unfair as they wont get one until lvl 4.
* Difficulty, its all over the place. Its all super easy until lvl 4, then you get 2 icelizards in a narrow hall at the same time, i was forced to use the door to fight (open, hit, close, rest... etc.). Once started on 4 its easy as there is space to fight the lizards one at a time... and boy does it get booring fast, each takes a few mins to kill and with the map laid out like it is you can predict EXACTLY where the next one will be.
