Sorry to hear that.
Well I managed to make it through the dungeon and I think I missed a few things along the way. Anyway, I would like to thank you for a rather enjoyable mod. It was a good time. Thank you for creating it and sharing it with us.

@cidbahamut,

I am so sorry - in 2018, my computer was destroyed, along with everything I had on it. I've lost the original files and all documentation. I don't even remember that much about the puzzles I put in place.
cidbahamut 15 Apr, 2021 @ 1:32pm
Is there any documentation where I can look up the puzzles/secrets if I get stuck? I'm digging the dungeon design so far, but I'm pretty sure there's a few things I've already missed and puzzles are not my strong suit.
Darsithis  [author] 1 May, 2019 @ 5:51pm
@Cisco2950 - Level 9, you mean "Storage"? It's been years since I last looked at my mod; I had a computer explosion (it got set on fire, literally) and lost everything until I was able to restore this all from backup. What eyes do you mean, which door?
Cisco2950 10 Jun, 2017 @ 9:49pm
So I am on level 9 , and can;t seem to find the other eye for the door key. Besides that and taking out the council I have done everything. The next time through I will document more. I might get out my graph paper and pencil...
Darsithis  [author] 4 Jun, 2017 @ 7:01pm
@Cisco2950. Thank you! I've fixed many of the issues people had, so that should help. I doubt I'll ever finish my second mod (I have two), but I might go back and update this one, one day.
Cisco2950 4 Jun, 2017 @ 5:50pm
Great Mod!! I did not experience any of the challenges of the other comments. I have been playing LoG and LoG2 for a long time. I started with all the Forgotten Realms PC games when they originally came out. Lots of graph paper, tape and adventure notes. Too many peaople are use to cheat guides and "Walkthroughs". I am going through a second time paying more attention to details as I raced through the first time, and missed some of the secrets on different levels.
Dhomochevsky 13 Jan, 2015 @ 2:34pm
Sorry for my english, but i hope you can understand me. In my opinion this mod was really great, perhaps too much easy but is absolutely funny and have a good history (jandall reminds me toorum) the end of jandall and the end of the mod were a little sad . Puzzles have variety and you don't need to work on the NASA to solve it, very balanced. I hate some mods with impossible, insane puzzles and a lot of impossible fights. I like dark souls but this is grimrock. I don't understand why your mod don't have 4 or 5 stars. I'm a modder too and i know all the work you do below the surface. I have 2 mods, one uploaded here and another bigger (a bloodwych remake) on grimrock nexus (where i discover your mod). You have my like, favourite and my congratulations for your job.

I updated it days ago: v 1.5: Fixed the broken Aegis's Fang dagger
Ken_Tucky 5 Aug, 2014 @ 1:45pm
Maybe the author is on vacation or something, but I would like to know if the bug with the Aegis Fang dagger will be fixed?
Ken_Tucky 28 Jul, 2014 @ 3:04pm
I'm sorry, I had all the 6 shields but forgot that I had dropped 2 of them on the floor :(
I've just discovered a bug in your dungeon that causes the game to crash. I found the "Aegis Fang"-dagger on level 9, but everytime I try to attack with it (right-click on it) the game crashes to the desktop.

If you give me an email adress, I can send you the error log file.
Darsithis  [author] 27 Jul, 2014 @ 3:08pm
Hey Kenengen.

Are you sure you did ALL of the teleporters? 5 of them also have special items that you have to place in the right alcoves to open the 6th for the 6th shield. Each shield is placed in a single alcove (no particular order) around that room. Once all six are placed the door will open.

Try going through all of the teleporters again and really search. You'll definitely find all of the shields.

As for the secret:

Place the Sword of Gluttony in the first alcove - the one by the stairs. Place the Sword of Hunger in the last alcove - the one next to the wall text. That will activate the secret door.[/spoiler
Ken_Tucky 27 Jul, 2014 @ 3:03pm
Thanks for helping, but now I'm stuck on level 8. I can't open the door where it says "Protection must be aquired before leaving". I've been through all the teleporters and found 4 shining shields, sword of gluttony and sword of hunger, and the other items. I've tried to place them in the wallslots, tried to equip the shining shields but I can't figure this out.
On the wall it says "First comes glottony, then comes hunger" - I thought it meant that the sword of gluttony should go in the first slot and the hungering blade in the last slot, but what about the slots in between?
Please help!
Darsithis  [author] 13 Jul, 2014 @ 2:27pm
Hi Kenegen,

Stand in the center - under the light - and throw a rock to the north and one to the west (up and left if you enter from the door)

Glad you're enjoying it!
Ken_Tucky 10 Jul, 2014 @ 4:27pm
I'm stuck on level 7, Hall of Echoes, with the puzzle "In the light you will be, to the north and west targets you will see". I've tried to stand in the light (the middle of the room), tried to throw spells to the north and west, tried to use the darkness spell and the light spell but nothing happens. Can't figure this one out, please help!
Btw, I've really enjoyed your dungeon so far :)
Darsithis  [author] 4 Jul, 2014 @ 5:30pm

There is a "secret" button on the east-facing wall in the entrance of the first room you come to, the room lit with blue light (not the room shooting at you, west of that). Search the walls carefully.
Ken_Tucky 2 Jul, 2014 @ 2:18pm
On level 3 there's a note from Jandall mentioning a wall that seems different than the others, but he can't find the trigger. Neither can I - I imagined it had something to do with the torches and the empty torchholders, but I can't figure this out.
And what about all the altars, am I supposed to place something on them?
AntColonizer 26 Jun, 2014 @ 10:28am
Ohhh god thats frustating... If only there was a way to backtrack :(
Anyways, thanks for the help!
Darsithis  [author] 23 Jun, 2014 @ 6:05pm
I appreciate all of the feedback.

I just have to point out that this game was developed by people who remembered the days of Eye of the Beholder, Dungeon Hack, Dungeon Master and the like. In those days you didn't have automapping or online guides to tell you where to go. I've tried to keep that philosophy; in fact some of my puzzles are translations from the Eye of the Beholder games. In that style of game you learned to take *everything* with you. You picked it all up. Every stone, every scroll, every weird item that you found. You never left anything behind; you never knew when it would come in handy.

I'm sorry that you've encountered some frustrating issues with being stuck because you missed an item but hopefully the next time through you remember to snag it!
CryptoCrash 22 Jun, 2014 @ 4:34pm
The issue with that puzzle is that if you did not bring those 'puzzle items' with you (like i did the 1st time) you cant go back and get them. I had left them in the alcoves in the teleport room as i thought they were what opened the door. I then had to restart that level. (saving in a new slot every time you start a lvl is a good idea)
Darsithis  [author] 22 Jun, 2014 @ 2:49pm
Hi ymichael95. Click for spoiler below:

At five of the 6 altars on level 8 there is an additional item, such as the Metal Heart, Talo's Eye, Sword of Hunger and so on. These are to be placed in the right alcove. That alcove requires Talo's Eye

AntColonizer 16 Jun, 2014 @ 2:00am
I've been playing this mod with a friend and we got stuck on level 8 in the "i can see you..." puzzle.
We tried to remove the torches, place anything we've got into the wall, search any inch for a hidden button but we just cant figure out how to progres the level T_T
CryptoCrash 14 Jun, 2014 @ 11:14am
the unique dagger Aegis's fang crashes the game every time i swing it
Darsithis  [author] 8 Jun, 2014 @ 4:04pm
As the paper says, if you are facing the puzzle, to your left:
x0x
0x0
xx0
malletmann117 7 Jun, 2014 @ 6:44pm
I'm having trouble with the pressure plate puzzle on level 4, where the note says: "I figured out 1 and 3 need a rock, and I found a singed piece of paper that says..."
Maximusdu83 1 Jun, 2014 @ 10:37pm
i test your mod
Darsithis  [author] 1 Jun, 2014 @ 5:57pm
As far as I'm aware your save game is locked to the version of the dungeon you started it in.
CryptoCrash 1 Jun, 2014 @ 4:46pm
Started the whole lvl again, there was deff an update but i see no changes. I wonder if i have to start the whole dungeon again :(
CryptoCrash 1 Jun, 2014 @ 4:37pm
really? i posted that last comment AFTER downloading the update. The fix either did not stick or my save is corroupted.
Darsithis  [author] 1 Jun, 2014 @ 6:53am
I know. I fixed both with the update last night.
CryptoCrash 1 Jun, 2014 @ 12:00am
and the teleporter to the other wing has no way back either.....
Darsithis  [author] 31 May, 2014 @ 10:10pm
Thank you so much for testing this out and finding the issues. It's always a growing process!

You're correct, there is no way back. It's easy as the developer to forget stuff like that since all I need to do is press Stop to return. I've added return teleporters. I've also changed the skeletons to respawn indefinitely if you kill them. That pit, however, in the teleporter room does indeed to go a real place where you can teleport back to level 7. Are you sure you updated to the latest version? I just went and confirmed every single pit on level 7 has a corresponding room & teleporter back.

FYI: you want to fall down at least ONE of those pits at some point. There is a big secret down there.
CryptoCrash 31 May, 2014 @ 7:18pm
There are serious issues with lvl 7 that have prevented me from progressing. Once you kill the gortormog (or whatever they are) the 4 skelletons march out, the natural reaction is to kill them. Once they are dead i quick saved and then explored the side rooms... only to discover i needed those skelletons alive... and i had saved my game after killing them. My game was backed up but i had to replay the entire of the previous lvl. Once i had cleared that room i picked a leleporter and found myself in the wing with the long hallway (right 5, left 2 etc). I cleared this wing and found and pulled the lever. Im now trapped in that wing... there is no way out, also the pit in the middle of the moving teleport room has no way out of it, if you fall in there is no way out other than to load your game.
Darsithis  [author] 31 May, 2014 @ 5:11pm
The mod is complete!
Darsithis  [author] 25 May, 2014 @ 4:19pm
Hi Sparky1x. I see what you're referring to. When you take a left at the fork (3 doors, one right, one left, the center ones are opened by the later levers), you're supposed to throw a rock over the pit to the right, closing it so you can reach the button that closes the second pit and opens the door that leads to the long hallway that, eventually, ends with both the blue gem (look at the walls) and the second lever.

I'm updating it so that it isn't a hidden receptor but rather a visible one. Also I'm including a link to a screenshot of the level to make it easier to test: http://i.imgur.com/gbs2BMV.png
CryptoCrash 25 May, 2014 @ 2:48pm
"Long twisting hallway to the left"??? do you mean the "nothing here but a torch" secret? there is no lever there.
Darsithis  [author] 24 May, 2014 @ 9:51pm
Hi Sparky1x:

The first lever is in the alcove directly across from the healing diamond if you head right from the first time. Just follow the loop around; you'll see it. The second lever is at the very end of the long twisting hallway to the left - make sure you're watching your step carefully...it turns you around if you just rush through it. The blue gem is in that area...look for hidden switches near the turns.
CryptoCrash 24 May, 2014 @ 1:56pm
I decieded to start this one again, i cant get past lvl 2. I found 1 of the levers and 1 of the blue gems. I then went over every wall, i just cant find anything else
Darsithis  [author] 17 May, 2014 @ 11:24pm
Added a new feature: If you hang a right at the first room you enter at the start of the dungeon, there is a teleporter to the testing zone. The testing zone will teleport you to any active level, give you a set of starting gear on the first 3 characters along with potions & arrows, and raise your level to level 10. This is solely to help people test out specific floors without having to start over and run through the entire dungeon every time I make a minor change.

This will be removed when I am done with the dungeon.
Darsithis  [author] 14 May, 2014 @ 8:16pm
5 and 6 also are considerably larger with more time-based puzzles. Both feature 3 to 4 sections that have to be solved in order to aquire either the keys or acess the release buttons to move on to the next area.
Darsithis  [author] 14 May, 2014 @ 8:09pm
Thanks for the suggestions, Sparky1x.

The gold and the ornate keys are behind the plate puzzle in the fourth floor. I'm adding to the note nearby that should help you solve it.

The ogre isn't the only thing in that room - there are some good rewards to help as the difficulty ramps up; I only planned on ten floors so I'm trying to level you quickly. I've switched the first ice lizards to skeletons instead. I've also reduced the food found. It's hard to gauge how much things are needed when you're designing it and not actually getting to play it through :)

I think you'll be pleased with 5 & 6 as you get to journey to them now that 4 should be more easily solved.
CryptoCrash 13 May, 2014 @ 3:48am
continued from previous post (stupid 100 char limit)

I gave up because im stuck, i cant find a key for the gold lock, cant get to the skelleton archers and if i fall dont the hole in front of them i cant get out. I also cant solve the button puzzle, how many rocks does it need? i tried every combo of 4 and 5 rocks with no luck. I did find the secret room... with an ogre. Interesting choice, find secret... get ogre?

So to sum up
*reduce the food
*add more variety
*increase difficulty
*smooth out difficulty curve

Good start to the mod, look forward to seeing the next version, hope this helps.
CryptoCrash 13 May, 2014 @ 3:48am
OK i reached lvl 4, im stuck and decided to end it there. The feedback i can give you is
* WAY too much food, serioussly cut the quantity in 1/2. It was too much to carry and i was resting after every fight just to make my characters hungry to reduce weight.
* Potion mats, never used them as i was resting all the time, however hiding the mortar and pestle behind a 'bonus room' on lvl 2 is a bit unfair as they wont get one until lvl 4.
* Difficulty, its all over the place. Its all super easy until lvl 4, then you get 2 icelizards in a narrow hall at the same time, i was forced to use the door to fight (open, hit, close, rest... etc.). Once started on 4 its easy as there is space to fight the lizards one at a time... and boy does it get booring fast, each takes a few mins to kill and with the map laid out like it is you can predict EXACTLY where the next one will be.
CryptoCrash 13 May, 2014 @ 1:58am
Im 2 lvl's in and im enjoying it so far, the stairs between 2-3 are bugged however
