@Xander Nirpow It is the idea to make an artifact, similar to the researches of the dlc Anomaly, where researching it gives inside in the way regression works, but also regresses the ones researching it (similar how enemies of Anomaly start to attack). In exchange it allows research of the regression tree that allows to build things using regression like weapons and abilities. The gained ability affect the enemy but also the user to some point.

@Proximo if that's the case, notify Xander Nirpow, who might be taking over for you, that Dubwise has started getting his mods ready for the 1.6 Update coming up next month. The Bad Hygiene Mod he created is a requirement for this one, and would be a good idea for both mods to be compatible with the new version of Rimworld when it is released.

Are you planning on developing and maintaining this mod any longer, or letting Xander Nirpow take over? If you say yes to one of those, I would recommend you or him collaborate with Dubwise (if he is still developing and maintaining his collection of mods) to merge this mod and his Bad Hygiene Mod together for the 1.6 Update coming soon.

Dunno if you're taking suggestions, but a fun idea could be a drug that slows (or even reverses) aging but can cause permanent incontinence and/or mental regression states if you OD.
@Proximo honestly the more I think about it the more I realize I'm not sure what I would have done differently to change it, so I think it's probably just me having trouble with suspension of disbelief actually having decent diaper content in a game for once, heh.

@Moonless_Forever Yes. Instead of opening a new can of worms, i chose to make the diapers relative cheap and hitpoints being used as "state" of fullness. Reasons for that:

- Pawns will try to change any cloth (so also diapers) if they are under 50%
- Pawns will keep wearing bad cloth (full diapers) instead of going commando, giving a little space for error and material shortages
- Pawns can easily set to burn/destroy old diapers by status
- High quality gear (including diapers) will have more hitpoints and by extension the capacity will scale automatically with quality.

If you want to prevent rashes, you can keep doing how you do it for any other cloth in rimworld. You set a production limit for... until there are 2 diapers in storage with over 50% and set to destroy any diapers that is in storage with less than 50%. Similar to cloth they will now auto change diapers as well.

Do changes occur automatically? I'm not 100% sure how diapers get used up, and when it seems like I have enough, diaper rashes happen.

Does Hitpoints = Diaper status? So 50> may result in rashes

Can you explain this? The ideology is only active if you (or others) choose that ideology. Otherwise its generel neutral/negativ stance against that ideology (other ideologies)
I really enjoy this mod but I was wondering if it's possible in the mod option to disable ideology tenets? I want diapers in my world and am totally cool with ABDL stuff but I would prefer it be a light version more about having them in a realistic sense rather than converting rimworld into specifically an ABDL game. Thanks!

@Xander Nirpow I do that as soon as i can. My ideas behind the fountain of youth are that its a center of worship and discovery. Involved are technologies that can stun, confuse and ultimatly regress attackers or make prisoners forget their alliances.

It might be a connection with another mod? Have you checked your mod list for potential incompatibilities?

It may be a pain, but try to remove ALL the mods, except for these one, even the ones you are 99.9999% certain aren't the problem. Just to see if the problem persists. Oh, and start a new game. Don't load an old game.

In terms of artifcial enhancements thats a minor issue i already have fixed on the dev version, but the problem with that dev version (where i also fixed the info card already) is that other issues where caused by the fountain of youth i was in the middle of developing. I have to get back to the development to finish up before releasing any patch sadly.

Heya, not sure if this mod is still updated or not, but the animal info tab is completly unusable.

Opening up the InfoCard for any animal immediately crashes the GUI and makes the tab unusable if (I think, not sure) you have Vanilla Framework Expanded - Apparently I think it's trying to apply the Bladder stuff and the Absorbency Value onto the Animals, which is a stat modifier, it's trying to get a name for the nonexistent stat types for animals and the entire infocard crashes and is made unusable.

Idk if I am missing something or if this is due to another mod, but I am having an issue 1.5 where every slaughtered animal is listed as available for the reincarnation ritual, even then their bodies don't exist. Suggestions?

How many mods do you got active? it might be a (what am I saying, it IS a pain) ...pain but you might wan to try the old chore of disabling mods and testing it out one by one if it happens when performing a specific action.

I've tried to diagnosis this problem. I keep getting this error when pawns try to perform the surgery for putting on pads. The error that keeps being thrown is this.

Some things broke with the update i made new, including features related to fountain of youth, weapons and abilities that cause regression and i have to test genes again after what was said in the comments a short time ago. I can't promisse when i find the energy to do so, sorry. I often just get in the mood and write weeks on features and fixes.

@黒介96 That is really odd, because when i created a new game, in create characters, if i click on the "baseline" of some of the characters it contains "early bloomer" or other genes by default. They also can be edited as part of the xenotypes and should be part of any pawn spawned (with a chance)

I am enjoying this mod very much. However, I am concerned that even when the option regarding genes is turned on, there are no additional genes for bladder at all, except for the pawns you can create when you start a new game (neither raiders nor trading partners have any genes for bladder size or bedwetting).
Is this an intended specification?

@Drippy yes, you are right, that is because i moved textures and the texture directory is shared. I will try to fix that.
EDIT: Fixed in my version, will work in the next update.

I try to get my version into a state i can patch this, as i am currently working on the "Fountain of Youth"

The (not yet released) new kind of anomaly adding a strange fountain that contains water that solves the problems of old age, can be dangerous. As such new weapons like water pistols can be developed, to put the enemy at the other end of those dangers.

Big update push, its too much to even get it into a single message. In short:
- Genetics added and with it bladder sizes that influence the rate pawns fill their bladder (not bladder control), genes that control bedwetting chances and strong or weak bladder control.
- Bedwetting was reimplemented and redone so that most pawns get it and grow out of it somewhere between 6 and 16. Only 5% (setting) keep it as adult.
- Lots of backward compatibelity to not brake savegames with changes.
- Lots of new configurations, intelligence and behaviour of pawns
- A dynamic gene system (setting) that makes things like bladder strengh, size and being prone to bedwetting hereditary
- Underwear, icons and pictures
- The behaviour and curves of incidents are better balanced and chances visible at hovering bladder control
- A lot more to discover

A lot of this features target gameplay where this mod is only a part of a normal game, meaning outside of playing as the babs and their specific behaviour

As a small note:
I am sorry the releasesize is over 100mb. With the next release i will remove things like nugget-packages and compile directories. Its not a problem, just an answer for the question why a mostly xml and code mod is over 100mb ;)

Todays release adds a lot of fixes (Playtime-Joygiver was fixed, views finally got completed)
Bladder control is now finally more gradual and not just an on/off switch. The chance to make it to the toilet and to not pee the bed at night is guided by overall bladder control. Age (very young and old) also influences it. Lots of text corrections (Thanks Jawsh), lots of new pictures (Thanks again Jawsh). Also more realistic self-estimation of potty-training and resulting acceptance of pull-ups or diapers. Yes pull-ups are now a thing and preferd by big and small with bedwetting issues. Hovering bladder control will now give you a lot of information and i suggest using a non-vanilla hud as the vanilla one cuts off the window a bit (not too bad but easy to see)
