I'd suggest turning off modifier system entirely. And in case of modded enemies, yes it can happen due to special behavior of that specific enemy. It could also be mod conflict

For some strange reason, when enemies or bosses have the "quicker" advantage, they reach the speed of light and disappear off the screen. Another issue I noticed, which is quite frustrating, is that some enemies—especially bosses—deal an absurd amount of damage. I'm not exaggerating: I have 141 defense plus other defensive buffs, and some enemies still deal 200 damage, and bosses can even one-shot me regardless of my defense or buffs. From what I’ve observed, this seems to happen with enemies from other mods. It could be that the damage multiplier value is incorrect or something similar, because I’ve already lowered the damage multiplier as much as possible in the settings, but it still happens.

I found a bug, and I'd like to rule out that it's from this mod... (it's probably one of my favorite mods lol)
I don't know why, but when in multiplayer (server) my friends hit Plantera, their game crashes. So, Is the only boss this happens to.
Keep updating and adding things to this mod, it's wonderful.

enemy modifier is just a niche addition and not the focus of this mod, I only implemented some just for flavor:
Colossal, // 1 Increased Size + HP

Right now I'm not updating mods unless there are game-breaking bugs. What I could suggest is that you turn off enemy modifier while fighting segmented bosses.

I dont remember exactly if this happened in vanilla, but fair enough.
Was also wondering if you could make it so that if you use enemy stat panel without enemy modifiers it doesn't show the modifiers bit of the panel since it will always be empty?

Yes and no. That's the way spider enemies are hardcoded. The wall-crawling spider and the normal spider are two totally different entities. When the spider crawls on wall it actually spawns another entity, therefore its stat is re-initialized

Hello, I dont know if my issue is caused by this mod for sure but I have to ask.
If a spider like enemy that can crawl on walls receives damage and goes from moving on ground to crawling on walls it completely heals itself, could it be caused by this mod?

@Easy If you're playing Calamity Infernum, unfortunately its difficulty scaling overrides this mod. It's not currently possible to make it harder since the scaling is fixed in Calamity Infernum.

Maybe try to enable ONLY this mod and see if it works. If it still works then there's a mod conflict, you'll have to find out which mod is causing the conflict

im using this mod with a few other rpg mods that dont affect enemies. Now im trying to increase the overall strength of enemies by 100/1000 fold. I've maxed out the sliders and set level gain per kill on 25. Now i've tried spawning in bosses and killing them. I look at the enemies and their levels have gone up but their stats dont change at all. How come?

Unfortunately in Terraria there's no such thing as simply increasing "enemy attack speed". Enemies have their own AI behavior and their "attack timer" is hardcoded.

I can't play terraria without this mod now haha, it scales my playthroughs perfectly with any QOL mods or any other mods that add boosts to player progression. Love it and have never uninstalled / disabled it since I first discovered it.

Anyway, I was wondering if you take suggestions. A slider for AI Attack Speed scaling dynamically would be really cool and it would make boss fights really interesting, maybe it could also be in intervals like every ?% seconds before it gets a speed increase (the scaled one) then it wears off in a cycle.

It would be really cool if it was added, but if not that's perfectly okay and I adore this mod as-is regardless. Personally, you deserve a thank you for creating this mod!

Well I did make it so that you are able to pull the defense scaling slider all the way to 0

I love this addon a ton, and it makes playthroughs very well balanced; but I have one gripe. Defense scales way too high and weapons that cease to pierce armor are remarkably weak which makes killing basic enemies (and occasionally modded bosses) feel like you're trying to slay a Dungeon Guardian.

If possible, to mitigate this problem could individual altered stats be toggled? The defense inflation is the only issue; all other stats are just fine honestly. I'd appreciate it if you took this feedback into consideration; very fun mod btw.

@Horo Glad that this mod could help your playthrough. Just pushed a new update allowing the slider to go down to 0. I don't currently have time to test it thoroughly but it should work

I love this fucking mod, I love the idea that the enemies become increasingly stronger towards you, especially with more mods that help improve your character, but I would like to be able to lower the life and defense scales to 0, I don't know why It is not possible, but it is necessary, because it happened to me that 1 boss of the Metroid mod has a lot of base defense, and is practically invincible due to the amount of defense it raises, not even at least its defense drops by 100k. These changes would allow us to adapt to those situations and it would definitely be one of my favorite mods, if it isn't already xD:steamthumbsup:

I think it only affect certain modded bosses. I just tested on Eye of Cthulhu and it does work as it intended

Looking forward on your affix system. As PoE player, it really excites me to see another work in progress modifier mods. Those possibilities are simply way too vast

I'm pretty sure bosses have a separate scaling config option and only get bonus stat from it, unless that Cryogen entity is not marked as a "boss" in its code.

For the suggestion I might consider it in the future, but note that vanilla Terraria already bumps pre-HM enemies stat when entering HM so as a consequence they will be stronger.

Hello, been using this mod for few weeks. So far it's kinda good in what it does

But there's a little issue here, is there compatibility issue with other mods' Bosses or is it intended that "Normal enemies" HP scaling also applies to boss?

I'm kinda shocked to see 400k hp Cryogen while its base health is barely 50k in Expert

Also one suggestion, it'll be nice to add a "Flat HP" increase per level on the configuration so basic enemies like slimes and zombies would still have sizeable HP on hardmode

update, we killed boss after boss for like 8 boss, our world lvl shown is now 1870 and it increase by every time i type /checklevelcap randomly by 20 to 600, but it looks like its only a visual bug, we run arround after every boss and check MOB lvl, it seems they increase just for 10 lvl after every boss first kill. after 3 boss they went to the range from 25 to 31 and now after the 8 boss we are at 70 to 91 seems legit ?

thx that helps, is it posible that this mod dont work in Multiplayer? Solo it works fine, but in MP when we kill a boss it says word lvl 160 insteat of world lvl 20, yes i checked max 10 lvl per boss kill, the mobs still are jsut lvl 18 or 19 but when i kill the next boss it says 220 and the message in the chat doesnt apear too, that the world gets stronger, mops are still lvl 18 to 20 even when i kill 4 different bosses in MP, single palyer it works fine.

is there a way to disable the menu that pops up whenever hovering over an enemy? i really like this mod, but i cant stand using it because that menu that displays the enemies stats in the middle of my screen is pretty much just flashing repeatedly whenever im fighting mobs and its extremely distracting

You can properly set level cap increase per downed boss now. It wasn't working before, default is 10 per boss. You can decrease it to like 2-3 per boss

We have 400 level on our world, and boss who is supposed to have 600k had 6mln so either calamity infernum is fucked up, or something went wrong with scaling. Modifiers on bosses aren't helping either. Besides that mod is awesome

Added two commands to reset world progression and check level cap.

@Ciaparito I don't get it, 0.001 is literally 0.1% increase. 100 level only give the boss 10% increase in stat. You could tweak the level increase per boss downed to further reduce the overall level cap. Just make it 2 or 3 if you feel its too hard
