Invalidates having a health bar in the first place if the only time I die its because of an insta kill death trap.
If you want to challenge the player, do it via enemy encounters or anything that is actually based around the reason people buy and play FPS games in the first place.
Platforming is always a snoozefest. Its a chore. There is nothing exciting about platforming in a shooter.
"Wow, you can move to the very edge of the platform and press the jump key!! That's so much skill!! I can't believe these filthy kids don't appreciate the skill expression!!"
I'd find more mental stimulation in doing trivial house chores than playing through a platforming section within a shooter.
Again, it's just you who's been making constant, consistent comments every couple of months, and I find it eye-opening you decided to spend the day before New Years to manually find this mod to hate comment, which clues me in that you don't really have a good home life.
You. need. mental. help. Your pettiness is abnormal, you know that right?
I don't "fear" you, I just don't want to give my time to stalkers like you. there's a stark difference.
@Merci You should try it before you knock it, it makes your playthrough much more immersing.
@Macrocosom I don't entirely blame newer gamers for their lack of expertise, they have an uphill battle to prove themselves in a world that shamelessly hates on them. It's just that the industry feels obligated to make video games not challenging, and some fall into the trap of not wanting to test their limits because of that.
@Thunder Oh wow, Metal Gear Solid!
this game is so easy anyway.
so they gave us some quality of life improvements
You say I'm crying, but i'm not the one writing paragraphs here, lol. Relax, it's a shitpost. Also, Merry Christmas.
I almost forgot this one. Triggered AF and flat out wrong lmao.
You are so triggered lol. Also, this is not even remotely true (except for the rabies haha). Nobody is making these kinds of demands. Games are being released these days that are FAR harder than when we were younger. There are also games being released that are FAR easier. The video game audience has increased drastically since the '80s and '90s, and as such the market has adapted to cater to that wide audience. If what you're claiming is true then we wouldn't have games like Elden Ring, Celeste, Cuphead, a million roguelikes, and so on.
Chill out, my dude. You're waging a war against nobody.
This sounds like a triggered baby to me. How, in any way, has the game taken on even a remotely "mobile game/gambling approach" or "giving the player instant gratification with few losses as possible?" Does the game have lootboxes? A battlepass? P2W? Did they remove hard mode? Or is this whining entirely because of your belief that they made you move a tiny bit faster? The only thing making this game easier than it was originally is the vastly improved controls.
"When the Turok Remaster was released, movement speed was increased by around 1.25x"
Where are you getting this information from? I spent the last 2 hours scouring the internet, watching comparison videos, reading dev interviews, etc and the only place I've seen this claim is this mod right here. The closest I could find was the fact that they increased the movement speed of Turok 2 by 20% to more closely match Turok 1.
I'm guessing you either saw this and didn't actually read it, saw that moving diagonally increases speed to 125% and didn't actually read that, or you forgot that there was a sprint button in the original that's been removed and sprint is always active.
As for everyone else, thanks for checking out the mod.
