through playing the boss fight again:
there are points in the boss arena where the zombies will stand in place where they spawn when you step in these points.
also affecting the boss in a similar way.
my first impression on the map:
Design wise: very beginner friendly just a little bit too space to move at some points for what the map has to offer so far. not noticeable till the boss arena
Audio wise: outstanding choices on round end and start sound choices
Door wise: buy doors are fairly priced.
Area of focus: door leading back to spawn in the pack a punch room won't open as well as the door back to pack a punch room after killing the boss
Boss fight: weak points seems small and too subtle at times.
but with how much health the boss has. it took about 7 minutes for two people with a power guns. the boss doesn't need the health lower. but phase shake ups should help raise the stakes.like the werewolf villiagers from the game
weapon wise: great weapon choice
note: if you want: I could help test maps in the future.
just message me on steam
You have great ideas my friend, I think if you learned the mod tools, you could make something very special. I love your thoughts, I completely agree. Oh, also, F**K YOU @That's Schmidty that's exactly what the comments are for.
Um.. it is though that's like the whole point of comments on these kinds of things? Lmao
Which part of what I said are you talking about?
The comments are here for people to comment on the work itself to the creator.
I didn't hate the map in any way, I loved it. I merely gave both concerns and thoughts for the creators.
The whole reason why I put all of that there in the first place was because in the 'Features' section of the description it says "More to be added after the map is judged". I wanted them to have as much of an honest input as possible.
I even imply that none of what I say is necessary since I'm not familiar with how the development works. There's no reason for them to do anything if it's not worth their time.
-Add a way to reconnect the map if the door bug is more random than consistent, like making wall/door a buyable to reconnect spawn or be able to move back down the elevator to get kills.
Lastly these two suggestions are more like "Cuz it would be neat". Like I said, I am not a map creator, I have no idea how hard all of this is but I can only imagine how tedious it can get.
-I think adding Strum (Propeller Head) as a Warden/George Romero zombie once you go down the first hole could be interesting
-Just so the map can conclude, have Heisenberg drop an item (His crystal heart or the baby). Once that's picked up, put the merchant's cart at the bridge in the beginning of the map to have the players fight through zombies and escape.
Overall I had fun, yall did a great job making the map and I'll definitely play it again when the map updates.
Had fun with the map, the only things to point out from my run are
-there were no music with perk machines or pap, idk if that was just me or the map but my settings were at 100
-like other people mentioned, after going up the elevator, the door on the left side that connects the map isnt open, I had to run jump to shoot the zombies through the window to get points to pack
-It could be cause I was using Mustang and Sally but the boss was wayyy too quick
I'm not a map creator so I don't know if these solutions are doable or take too much effort but my suggestions are
-Remove the perk limit, unless I missed one, there were only 5 perks on the map so it just felt off in my head.
-Up the boss health, with or without my previous suggestion, I barely spent time with the boss to appreciate the animations as someone pointed out.
-Add zombie spawns in the pack room
to be continued
my only issue was how to damage the boss?
I love the visuals and details, and easy to follow easter egg steps, if you can call it that.
The boss arena is quite buggy though. At certain areas the boss and zombies just stand there on their idle animation. And sometimes the boss doesn't damage me, and sometimes it does? Other than that theres some clipping issues with terrain and etc. Also like the other said, the big door on the right when you first enter the factory doesn't open when power is turned on.
