Armored air tight walls

I don't have Odyssey yet but is there something preventing an inner core of airtight walls and then building armored exterior walls? Besides the space-efficiency.

Thank you for this mod! Armored walls are definitely something I've been hoping for (and something more easily built than the practically-invincible walls from the Vanilla Expanded Ancients mod.

Yes, things may have been wonky from the release for fully airtight walls, but it does look like "airtightness" is working properly now (at least for stronger materials like uranium and plasteel). But when it comes to having "dynamite-tightness" and "charger-rifle-tightness," RimWorld walls still leave a bit to be desired, which is all the more true on asteroid bases. :D

I also just tried with regular plasteel walls, and they were most definitely air tight. I also didn't have any mods enabled

Regular walls, that is.

I just tried with Plasteel walls, they are not airtight. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong, but...

Hey, I just discovered your mod and I see in the comments that there's some animosity about the purpose of this mod. Unfortunately, I haven't played Odyssey much, much less modded it.

If I could offer a suggestion, it would be to adapt this mod for glass walls. Or maybe for the walls of Fortifications - Medieval, just because it's cool to have a castle on an asteroid.

Keep improving the mod, it has a lot of potential.

@Viren Nobody is hating, this mod used to be called just "air tight walls," and the description said that there weren't air tight walls in the base game, which is incorrect. It's fine now, though

Don't be too harsh, this is still a very potential Odyssey-compatible sealing wall, right?
Viren 13 Jul @ 9:57pm
Idk why people are hating on this. Even if Metal walls are in fact Airtight, this still gives you a different structural option for a wall that fits in with Odyssey.

They were definitely airtight day 1.

Hm weird, they must've just updated Rimworld fixing this. As when I played day 1 walls (regardless of material) where not air tight.
Tachanka 12 Jul @ 5:06pm
metal walls are already airtight though, it's just stone and wood that aren't
Gorbage 12 Jul @ 5:06pm
Metal walls are already airtight in the base game, this mod is just unnecessarily redundant
SAUCE__GODD 12 Jul @ 2:25pm
amazing work

steel walls are are airtight right?
StockSounds 12 Jul @ 12:52pm
Why are the devs actively hostile towards spacestations????????
Tawnylure  [author] 12 Jul @ 12:48pm
(I have zero clue why this isn't base game lol)

The limitations of Vanilla are that ship hulls can't be built on non gravship substructure.
This mod fixes that allowing you to build air tight walls, so your colonists / prisoners don't have to wear vac suits. Just make sure you still have heaters (you'll need em).

Hope this clears things up
StockSounds 12 Jul @ 11:53am
Same, can you not build ship walls???

What are the usual "limitations"? I'm not familiar with them yet. I could want this for later, but I don't know what vanilla limits me from doing that this mod gives me.
