It works in quick battle skirmishes. Multiplayer I'm not sure. That last update screwed things up bad an I have no idea how to fix it.
The game does not support campaign play as it uses campaign entries within the game files for the new units and buildings.
It only supports skirmish and multiplayer (latter is somewhat buggy due to the last game update).
The latest game update screwed up a bit and I still do not know how.
@arisian stormbow
Check the 'Common Problems and Fixes' thread for info on how to solve some common crashes.
@Mr.D
No, sorry, it doesn't as it uses campaign only unit/building slots for the new units and buildings.
Yeah, certain maps don't work with the new Big Huge size since it's 20% larger than the previous Big Huge. Set it to Huge or lower to avoid crashes.
Try the usual fixes:
1. Make sure this is the only mod you have enabled.
2. Unsub and resub
3. Install the mod manually (link in description - modDB)
Not actively, no. The only remainder is graphical improvements, but I can't model for shit so I need someone else to do it.
Thanks for answering
Himalayas should be fine on Big Huge, although you can try setting it to Huge just in case. Otherwise, do the standard fixes:
- make sure the mod is the only one installed/running
- unsub and resub to the mod to redownload the files
- manually install the mod if issues persist (link in description)
My gaming laptop is definitely powerful enough, and it has 16 Gigs of ram. Is it because I tried the Himalayas map on "Big Huge"? I didn't read anywhere in the comments that the Himalayas map should only be "Huge" size.
I do have a save of the game, but the save is like 30-ish mins before the crash.
Any thoughts?
That happens when a resource appears before the age they are supposed to appear at such as seeing Buffalos before the Third Age. Once you advance to the correct age, the merchant will be able to gather the resource
This is normal. The game multiplies the costs in the files by a factor of 10 so that the factor can be higher/lower depending on the tech cost setting in the match setup. If you want lower cost put the tech on Very Fast and Cheap setting for a lower cost factor.
Anyone else have this problem? Any solution, please?
Just use this guide:

and use the folder ...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\287450\955633861\data for the edits.
Read my previous comment and try that.
The AI has a script which makes it perform a little better but it doesn't know how to utilize certain unique units or buildings properly. For example it uses raiders as just another infantry unit in the army and doesn't for example, build naval forts or naval towers as well as some other buildings.
Despite this, with the script it still proves somewhat of a challenge to beat, especially on higher difficulties (Tough ->).
Set the AI difficulty higher than Easy - even the original AI was a pushover at that difficulty. If you're playing against AI, set it to Tough or higher and make sure you enable the "rota ai script" in the scripts section of the game options.
For the full experience, play the game in multiplayer instead.
Well that's because you played on easy, my brother and I usually play on tougher and I gotta say unless you start at the nomad era, the AI for the most part do a good job of advancing, the only real problem I can think the we've had is every now and then you get some slow ones, but that's why we usually play with 6-8, the weak ones are killed of fast and toward the endgame you meet more determined opponents, please also note that the higher in difficulty you go up, the more the AI doesn't play fair, that's just Rise of Nations
There is a picture on modDB, it's the first one. Click it then click "see full resolution" or something similar at its top. It has listed all nations, unique units, wonders and governments.
As for loading saves that were made with a previous version, those won't work since the save was made on an older version.
Anyone still having issues try downloading the version from ModDB and installing it manually or try unsubbing and resubbing to the mod through the workshop. If you're installing it manually, make sure that you change to the <LOCAL> version in the game's options (Extras->Steam Workshop) and disable the mod that isn't local.

Yeah it seems that the caravan bonus doesn't work no matter what number I put in. I've removed it and raised some of the other bonuses.
As for the commerce limit - it's hardcoded to +999, so I can't raise it.
Here's a screenshot:

Thank you! Anyway, is there a way to make the commerce cap go past the +999 limit (especially for very expensive tech games) or is it too hardcoded?
Thanks for pointing out the issue. It was an easy fix, I've uploaded an updated version.
As for the Heavy Flaming Arrow - yes, it's intentional, otherwise Koreans would have too many unique units.
@DrumDrum100
Hmm, I'm not sure what could be crashing it. You can try unsubbing from the mod and downloading and installing it manually from ModDB (link in description).
