I enjoyed this, perhaps the author should put recommended classes or builds? I feel very gimped at the end considering I couldnt use the gear
Pizzadude 19 Jan, 2016 @ 10:22pm

Great one o/ Killed everything inside ! !
(It won't help, but i found a very minor glitch in the maze, a pillar wasn't fully there in one of the corner (told ya' it won't help))

Playing this in the middle of the night, in a dark room, with the sound turned up. Yeah, it gets creepy. It's extremely well made. I loved it. The boss nearly wiped my party because nobody resisted magic too well beside the tanky minotaur who lived with a quarter of his health left. And the ogre in the maze......you're an ass for that, but I'm the idiot for trying to fight it. All in all, super good job.

I just finished a playthrough, and I must say this is one of the most enjoyable and well designed dungeons I've seen for Grimrock. Very good layout and distribution of loot. I also really liked how the story played out in the subtitles. Great work!
Ninjaloose 30 Sep, 2014 @ 3:33am
Very nice, thanks for making this, true to grimrock's style :)
Nax_o 20 Jun, 2014 @ 12:07pm
Awesome. Just wrapped this one up.
pbuedi 9 Jun, 2014 @ 3:08am
Thank you very much for this! I downloaded it a while ago and played though it today. And it was a fanstastic experience. I was not able to solve the 3 button puzzle, also I found only 3 of the 4 keys, but the Boss is possible to defeat anyway. You created a very nice dungeon layout and I liked the story and the puzzles :-) Great job, really!

I am stuck in level 1, i searched all walls, tried the f**** torcholder trick and just wasted my time. After 20 Minutes i gave up, deleted this mod and rated it negative.

I really enjoyed this mod. If I was :psi: I might have created a different team, but I always enjoy a challenge. But your levels are all well designed. They are both interesting and unique. You provided an elegent if a little bit tedious solution, but it's presence made all the difference to the final fight. Excellent work.

i played it in 4 hours, and i enjoyed it, thank you!

They are identical in content. I must, then, assume that Steam compresses the files far better than my just zipping them.
Pulowski 25 Nov, 2013 @ 10:58am
the file size makes it seem like a promo for the nexus version

Just finished it, nice mod. I took a fighter, 2 rogues(1 archer, 1 dagger), and a wizard (ice). I struggled for gear, mage gear was fire only, and i did not get a useful number of arrows/bolts till the 2nd last room. 2 of my characters finished the game without pants. You really need to seed some more gear and a wider variaty of gear. I know 2 fighters and 2 mages is the norm/best build but i mix it around to keep it interesting.
lbsound 29 Oct, 2013 @ 10:48am
thank you ! I really enjoyed. can t wait for another mod of yours
Grognakh 24 Oct, 2013 @ 9:01am
Just finished it. Great mod, well designed. The story, although classical, is pretty well narrated and the atmosphere is really enjoyable. Thanks!
Ron_HH 11 Sep, 2013 @ 12:04pm
A very nice piece of work, thanks!
iCarus 24 Jun, 2013 @ 3:43am
Great Mod, enjoying it a lot.
Though I can't figure out what the three switches on Floor 3 (where you go down briefly while playing floor 2) are for... Can someone give me a hint please?
Eric 16 Jun, 2013 @ 12:37pm
Very nice dungeon, thanks for the time you invested in the making ;-)
Blood_Wraith 14 Jun, 2013 @ 9:13pm
I enjoyed playing this short campaign, it was fairly challenging.
Silver 4 May, 2013 @ 7:21am
Very good, keep it up
Tyraa Rane 16 Feb, 2013 @ 5:19pm
Loved this mod! As another commentor said, the story's a bit hokey...but I still enjoyed the dungeon, as well as the way the story was "narrated" via text messages. Very clever! :) The last 2-3 levels were definitely my favorites.
DistortedMind 12 Feb, 2013 @ 5:58pm
I liked it very much! Awesome adventure!

The Reeking Depths is a finished project. I have since moved on to the Legends of the Northern Realms project which you can read about here: http://www.grimrock.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4741
Stop the Insanity 13 Jan, 2013 @ 10:25pm
Since this hasn't been updated since october i'm guessing this is the finished project? I'm going to check it out (:

Have you anything else in the works?

Nice dungeon, although a little too easy. Keep doing such good things ;)
400 Lost Pandas  [author] 8 Jan, 2013 @ 5:39am
Well, some people like ut and some people don't. Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to play through the Reeking Depths.
CodPor 7 Jan, 2013 @ 10:13pm
The story's really hokey, the room full of bones had no dramatic impact . Most of the dungeon is too easy; everything before the labyrinth feels like introductory stuff or filler. The treasury has too many skill-requirement items, without enough guidance from the labels on the walls; rather than gamble on it, I just save-scummed to get worthwhile items. Puzzles were mostly okay, but the lever puzzle early on just seemed to be trial and error. If there was a hint to that, I missed it.
eL_PuSHeR 28 Dec, 2012 @ 8:09am
Nice, somewhat short module.
erps 22 Dec, 2012 @ 2:07pm
Short but very funny. Some good fights, especially the final confrontation (took me 4 trials, cause of the skeleton archer ). I may have missed some secrets, didn't bother to check all walls ;). One minor minus point: It took too long for my Archer to get a good weapon, he was useless for almost two levels. But still 9/10.
kuZhov 20 Dec, 2012 @ 2:26pm
As for my first custom dungeon - that was awesome, perfect for newbie like me.
There could be more secrets though.
Dr.ByroD 19 Dec, 2012 @ 2:24pm
Hello! Very good dungeon, but too short. I need more :D Thx a lot for your work. I hope you will be doing more of them!
400 Lost Pandas  [author] 8 Dec, 2012 @ 10:51am
I'm going to need more information. There are no instances in the Reeking Depths where a door is opened by one jewel or three jewels placed in a face-statue. Perhaps you were mistakenly playing someone else's dungeon?
400 Lost Pandas  [author] 8 Dec, 2012 @ 10:42am
Thanks for the tip
Wolfi 7 Dec, 2012 @ 12:02pm
This may already be known but I think I've found a bug or error which may not even be down to you but the game. On floor 5 where there is the face statue before the warning about an impending fight, the secret room unlocks just by putting the same jewel in a socket, removing it and putting it back 3 times, as opposed to putting all 3 jewels in the facets.

Not really learned in the ways of LoG workshop and what is capable to be done and such but it's just something I noticed. ^^
Hrefnesholt 5 Dec, 2012 @ 5:19pm
Thank you very much for making this adventure. I enjoyed it... The boss-fight was epic with the main theme playing :D
RedSaynt 3 Dec, 2012 @ 6:05pm
first custom map I have played and I enjoyed it throughly. Great job
Inadurill 28 Nov, 2012 @ 7:48am
a very nice adventure. well done. thanks
400 Lost Pandas  [author] 26 Nov, 2012 @ 1:09pm
There are ranged weapons available in the Reeking Depths. Finding them might be a little difficult, but I trust that you can manage.
Spamalot2006 25 Nov, 2012 @ 2:11pm
Nice story and clever puzzles. I think I missed a bow or a crossbow though because I went through the entire game with my archer character stuck with a sword.
aticheshire 31 Oct, 2012 @ 11:04am
`Flawless playthrough highly enjoyable thankyou McSkivv for taking time to make this<<<
400 Lost Pandas  [author] 25 Oct, 2012 @ 11:47am
I'm glad you had fun. I haven't ever tried importing characters into this, so I'm glad that worked out for you.
DAN-di-WARhol 25 Oct, 2012 @ 9:21am
I advise, though, playing with imported characters on 'Hard' mode.
DAN-di-WARhol 25 Oct, 2012 @ 9:15am
Just finished it. Awesome. Best add-on for this game yet!
