- I've been trying to fix this bug for ages (no pun intended) and it's pretty much because the game doesn't "fully treat" the Zeppelin as an air unit. The reason for this is because there is a predetermined number of air units and the Zeppelin is not one of them. I'll see if I can switch around some units in the files to fix this in the next update (no promises).
- The Zeppelin works the same way as a helicopter. So far I haven't found a way to make it garrison back in the airbase.
Suggestions:
I might be able to implement the first 2 ideas (but no promises), however the third one is pretty much impossible because the Airbase is the only building that I've managed to garrison in air units.
What if a "Seaplane Carrier" was available at the Industrial Age as an early aircraft carrier?
Historically, the first naval-launched airstrikes were conducted by the Japanese seaplane carrier Wakamiya against the Germans at Tsingtao during WWI.
Cool idea, but then I would probably make it a Japanese Unique unit. The only problem is making unique aircraft carriers. The game is very untolerant of unique 'special' units (units which do special things such as carry aircraft). I would have to test it out if it can be implemented..
That's also not supposed to happen, mine work fine. Unsub, resub or manually download the mod. Also make sure you remove any other mods as this mod tends to conflict with them otherwise.
