I've made substantial mods to the ship, but still at T1 it's at 7900, too much for T1.

I don't think that in version 1.10+ you can play this as a T1 in Survival, you need a T2 extender and then say hello to Titanium Rods and Neodynium in the blueprint.

Superb starter HV, the first thing I'll do is removing the clone chamber when playing in SP, but: Is there any solution to add a ramp so you can go inside the little room without problems?

So just wanted to give this some love. This has been my go to starter for years. I have made some adaptions of course, removing the RCS's and I usually don't play with CPU. I tend to keep it pretty stock though, adding some fuel and gen along with drills after initial creation. I love it so much I have a slightly elongated version I dubbed SSM2 as a starter SV which works quick well for a cheep starter. (I haven't posted it or anything). Anyways, always loved this build and it has always done me proper for a starter HV.

FYI this blueprint doesn't work as intended in RE. It doesn't have enough CPU at stock level to support its stock equipment.

@Starforge Once you add a medic station, the clone chamber is no longer required. The clone chamber space can be used to bump up cpu easily.

Seem to have found the issue... It appears that the CPU is WAY too low for the installed equipment? 5% efficiency. Do your builds not take CPU into account? May be good to put that somewhere in the description :( feels bad to look forward to getting something that looks so great to have it explode on you. :(

Hey mate, Not sure whats going on here. I spawned in the Nomad on a RE server an hour or so before the 1.7 patch dropped. When I filled it up the generators went straight into overload and detonated. I just had the same thing happen on a 1.7 vanilla server with this nice looking starter ship. As you can imagine doing a start on the ice planet, saving up to get this and BOOM is not a great feeling. Any idea why this would be happening? Two different servers and game versions same exact issue.

They really need to add a way for people to filter the workshop by compatibility. Nothing against you at all. I just wasted a good bit of time putting this together to only have the generators explode. I know now to read through comments first before committing to a blueprint.

So I updated the SHM2 for personal use. ;) Sadly most the military line after removing RCS/Thruster's, still under CPU powered...So sadly most of the ones I have tweaked are T2 updates, PM me if interested in anything I may be doing...

Thanks again BatteryAcids. Well, as in miners, the MCRN-Mole-T1 is best set up for what it is for A11 gameplay and may be the least expensive miner too. I need to make a human new variant of it someday. It just does mining thou and not much else. It would be my current go to miner on the cheap for game play. It used to be the first Scarab-SHM but that one is badly out of date now. Thanks again!

I know the SHM replaced your HST in your fleet, but what replaced your SHM as an all-rounder? As I know your Mole-T1 may have not? Thanks! I currently use the HST as is, but am looking at changing to 9ST or SHM/SHM2, any recommendations?

Thanks Loco Porco. No, this was made in alpha 10 before CPU and has not been updated. The newest miner I made is A11 Tier 1, the MCRN-Mole-T1. Thanks again!

Thanks SoDak! I guess being intended to mine I wanted it pretty quick and agile. However, I could add a control in the P menu for a eco mode and shut a few thrusters and RCS done. I should update that. Thanks again!

Thanks GunnyD. It is tight getting in the little room but yes you are supposed to get back in there. It should have a full 3x3 block area to get in. Once in, you can also jump right into the cockpit. It does require jumping up to get in thou. I had no place to add a ramp. :( Thanks again!

Are we supposed to be able to get into the back of this vehicle? I've tried so many times and only was able to get in the back once and thought it glitched me in or something. BTW this is an awesome vehicle. If I were stuck on an alien planet like this, I'd want one.

Thank you ColdBeat, CrazyZ and Kevillia! @Kevillia, a SV version could be interesting but SV's can't do harvesting, mining, clone chamber, or med bay. A CV could do mining thou but only in space on asteroids. So, I not sure how that would work out. Thanks again all!

This thing it's awesome, all in one, I just sacrificed cargo space to add two retractible turrets and I'm thinking on a shield later. But even without that it's totally awesome in control, speed, mining, self-defense. The only problem is the CPU, at least the blueprint ignore that problem (but u can't put anything with cpu if somebody plan to put turrets as i did)

@nmk111, not bad idea. One other thought would be to move the front landing gear back a block so it could cover the core as well. It does have a hoover boaster installed already on far right side bottom. I figured having it on the bottom was cause it to not land right or potentially have more issues in mining tunnels. As it is, I originally had it installed with 2 retractable turrets were the mounts are now. I had to remove them as even if they were retracted, the game looked at item as a full block above the top which caused all kinds of issues mining and getting stuck constantly. So, I had to cut them to make this function better as a miner. Thanks again!

Maybe use a hover booster to cover it up? It has 100 hp, unlock lvl 5, cheap, can be same height with docking pads without affecting them and i have found them to be useful sometimes for getting over obstacles or when you get stuck on something....

Thank you Thog and mmk111! @mmk111, I guess as in core location, I did the same on the original with the thoughts it would be some what safe being on the bottom. The HV is so small, there really wasn't many places to put it. I figured althou exposed on the bottom it is still about the safest place to put it. It is just meant for hunting, storage, utility, and mining and not to engage in combat besides an occasional drone which should not be able to hit the bottom. Thanks again!
